deliveries from Nana…

I was super excited this afternoon when I opened our mailbox to find a package from my nana!!!  I hurried inside, threw my pocketbook down and tore it open because I had a feeling what was inclosed and I just couldn’t wait any longer.  As I tore the manila package there it was… the newest Nicholas Sparks novel :)!!!!  My Nana gave me his first novel way back in high school and I fell in love with the way he writes and captures my attention.  Nana has always either given me the newest book after she has read it, until probably about 5 years ago we both couldn’t wait for the books to come out in paperback… so she started sending me the book within the first couple weeks of it coming out.  Let me just say, when September 1st rolls around every year I start looking and listening for when the book will hit shelves b/c I love love love Nicholas Sparks novels!!  Anyways… the package contained the book and a movie and a sweet note and this is what the note said…

“Hi Honey – This is really a package all about loving…  In the book, in the film, and from me to you!  Enjoy!  I love you!  Nana”

Let me also tell you that my nana is very very very dear to my heart, most of my fondest memories include her and I love her more than words can describe.  She is not only my nana (grandmother), but she is my mentor, my inspiration and my friend.  I know I am always really excited when I get the newest Nicholas Sparks novel in the mail from her, but I think more than anything I am excited to see what she wrote this time in the front of the book.  It’s what she does and I love it, I cherish it and I will ALWAYS hold this special tradition near and dear to me.  Nana, I love you soo very much!!  Thank you for another amazing book and movie and reminding me that life is about the small things and loving those that mean so much to me!!

Rachel & Ben were married on an incredible fall weekend in the upstate of South Carolina.  The weekend started out with family and friends celebrating these two at the Greenville Country Club for the rehearsal dinner.  The included hugs, the most beautiful toasts, and Ben grabbing his guitar and playing/singing for guests.  That evening set […]

For the last few years I’ve photographed Ballet Spartanburg’s performances of the Nutcracker.  It is an honor to capture these incredible students and professional dancers that share the stage for this family favorite in the heart of Spartanburg, SC.  Most years I capture the dress rehearsals, this past year due to a wedding in Charleston […]

After 18 years and hundreds & hundreds of weddings, I’ve had a front-row seat to some of the most thoughtful, personal, and beautifully designed wedding days across the Southeast. And when couples ask me what I remember most about a wedding, the answer is almost always the details. I think about the invitation suite printed […]
