For the last few years I’ve photographed Ballet Spartanburg’s performances of the Nutcracker. It is an honor to capture these incredible students and professional dancers that share the stage for this family favorite in the heart of Spartanburg, SC. Most years I capture the dress rehearsals, this past year due to a wedding in Charleston on those days I captured two of the actual performances.
Prior to the Saturday evening performance I was told that our one of our professional dancers (Kara) would be proposed to when she took her bow. Y’all, I have never been so nervous or so excited. I am pretty sure Kara had no idea the proposal was happening and. the surprise was amazing!!
