Francine & Ralph | Spartanburg Engagement Session

When I first sat down with Francine & Ralph last summer and we started discussing where they wanted to do their engagement session they both told me that flowering trees or flowers were something they wanted. Well because flowering trees really only happen at one or two times a year here in SC we decided on a spring engagement session and while we knew the time frame we would most likely do the session we decided to play it by ear since they live here in Spartanburg and see exactly when the trees started blooming!!

Fast forward to March when everything started happening with the virus and orders were being changed by the day. I happened to be at this location on a Saturday evening and saw the trees were perfect and knew that an order could be coming down limiting us even more where and when we could leave. So that night I sent these two a message to see if we could do a session over the next few days and thankfully we were all able to!! We all knew the dogwood trees still had to bloom but we didn’t want to chance anything so on a Wednesday evening we met up for the most beautiful March evening and took these photos.

Y’all as you can see Ralph & Francine are pretty smitten with one another. They laughed and smiled and made my job easy!! I have soo enjoyed getting to know these two and spend time with them and I can not wait until their fall wedding!! Here are a few of my favorite images from their engagement session!

Rachel & Ben were married on an incredible fall weekend in the upstate of South Carolina.  The weekend started out with family and friends celebrating these two at the Greenville Country Club for the rehearsal dinner.  The included hugs, the most beautiful toasts, and Ben grabbing his guitar and playing/singing for guests.  That evening set […]

For the last few years I’ve photographed Ballet Spartanburg’s performances of the Nutcracker.  It is an honor to capture these incredible students and professional dancers that share the stage for this family favorite in the heart of Spartanburg, SC.  Most years I capture the dress rehearsals, this past year due to a wedding in Charleston […]

After 18 years and hundreds & hundreds of weddings, I’ve had a front-row seat to some of the most thoughtful, personal, and beautifully designed wedding days across the Southeast. And when couples ask me what I remember most about a wedding, the answer is almost always the details. I think about the invitation suite printed […]
