Personal

11 Years!!

I feel like Gary & I were just in Charleston & we were celebrating 10 years of marriage… how on earth have 12 months come and gone so quickly?!  I feel like I was just laughing as we bopped heads after we kissed during our ceremony and I blinked and here we are 11 years later… I feel like with each year the faster the next becomes and honestly it kind of scares me because I don’t want to miss anything.. or overlook anything… and in a day in age when everything moves so fast that’s hard.  So to anyone reading this that isn’t married, or is getting ready to get married or is newly married… I really encourage you to soak it all in… REALLY savor the moments… the quiet, the fast, the sad, the good… because y’all one day you’ll be getting married and the next thing you know you’re celebrating 11 years of being married to your best friend!!

Gary you are my husband & my best friend and I am soo thankful that I get to do life alongside of you.  With every wedding that I document I am lucky enough to get to remember the vows we took 11 years ago to one another.  And while marriage & life isn’t always pretty or easy… and we don’t always see eye to eye I know that at the end of the day you are still my person and through it all I am thankful that I get to do life with you… the good & the bad.  Gary you make me a better person.  You challenge me, you encourage me, you love me, you support me.  Thank you for loving me the way you do!!! I love you so much & I am excited that we are getting to spend another anniversary together!! Here’s to a lifetime of anniversaries!!!

I realized that I never really shared these images we had taken last year in Charleston for our 10 year anniversary… so I’m sharing a few of them for our 11th anniversary!!  A HUGE thank you to Caroline for the beautiful images… Beth (From Paper Dolls) for doing my hair & Makeup… AND my friends Renee (of Renee Burroughs Design) & Heather (of Timeless Events) for the incredible bouquet they sent me to Charleston with!!!

I am so glad that you stopped by my online home!!  One of my favorite things to do is share my clients’ images!! It gives you a look at the kind of images you will receive if you hire me to be your photographer.  If you would like to see what a full session or wedding looks like, please feel free to ask!

Photography is in my blood and seeking truth is in my soul. Which is a deep way of saying, I’ve loved to take photos for a really long time, y’all. I’d love to share my story with you then listen to yours.

I grew up in a house full of photos. My dad or I when I was old enough, was always behind a camera…family dinners, road trips, Sunday afternoons that probably didn’t seem worth documenting but somehow always were. That’s where I fell in love with this work. And somewhere along the way, I also learned […]

Meredith and J.G. invited their family and friends to the Piermont Cottage, which is part of Old Edwards Inn for brunch and farewells the morning after their wedding day.
The morning was full stories that were filled with laughter and joy!! It was the perfect way to end an amazing weekend. Venue  | The Farm […]

Meredith and John Grady were married on a beautiful, Friday afternoon in July in Highlands, North Carolina. Meredith began her day at the Farm at Old Edwards Inn, surrounded by so many incredible women in her life. The morning was full of joy, love, and an abundance of happy tears. After Meredith slipped into her […]
