William Aiken House | Charleston Wedding Photographer

Bride inside William Aiken House

The first time I stepped foot in Charleston I fell in love!! Since I was 19 years old I have fallen a little deeper in love with each time I visit the city. It was the place where Gary & I got engaged, we’ve vacationed, celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary… and I’ve had the opportunity over the last few years to visit many many many time to photograph styled shoots, engagement sessions, bridal portraits, family photos, senior sessions and weddings!!

When we moved from Texas back to the east coast 9 years ago one of my dreams was to photograph peoples memories in one of my favorite cities and that dream has happened and continues to happen and I really just don’t have the words to describe how I feel about it!!

In February I had the opportunity to learn from a friend/fellow photographer Julie Livingston at the William Aiken House. Not only did I get to learn from her, I had the chance to photograph a styled session with her and it was gorgeous. She worked along side Sarah Lillie Designs and what they created was romantic, beautiful and so different from anything I think I’ve documented. If you ever have the opportunity to visit the William Aiken House you will not be disappointed. It is very Charleston and southern and it a beautiful wedding venue in the heart of downtown Charleston.

Photography is in my blood and seeking truth is in my soul. Which is a deep way of saying, I’ve loved to take photos for a really long time, y’all. I’d love to share my story with you then listen to yours.

Some of my favorite photographs from a wedding weekend are taken with everyone in khakis. I’ve been thinking about that lately. After almost twenty years of photographing weddings, I’ve learned that the moments my couples come back to years later are not always the ones you would expect.  The first look matters. The vows matter. […]

Rachel & Ben were married on an incredible fall weekend in the upstate of South Carolina.  The weekend started out with family and friends celebrating these two at the Greenville Country Club for the rehearsal dinner.  The included hugs, the most beautiful toasts, and Ben grabbing his guitar and playing/singing for guests.  That evening set […]

For the last few years I’ve photographed Ballet Spartanburg’s performances of the Nutcracker.  It is an honor to capture these incredible students and professional dancers that share the stage for this family favorite in the heart of Spartanburg, SC.  Most years I capture the dress rehearsals, this past year due to a wedding in Charleston […]
