Kayla & Henry | Clemson Engagement Session | Greenville Wedding Photographer

I’ve known Kayla for a few years. Her younger sister was actually my very first intern and over the years I’ve gotten to know the ladies in their family and love them dearly. So when Kayla & Henry were in California earlier this year on a trip and she texted me a photo of the ring y’all I squealed and cried super happy tears for them. I had never met Henry but gosh I was so excited for them. We started talking about the wedding and engagement session locations and I’m pretty sure we batted around a few different ones and then she suggested the gardens at Clemson and that’s where we landed!!

Jump to a few Sunday’s ago and there was a ZERO CHANCE OF RAIN ALL DAY until I’m driving into Clemson for an afternoon of sessions and see the clouds getting darker and I check the forecast and one of my worst fears as a photographer is staring back in front of me…. storms… smack dab in the middle of Kayla & Henry’s engagement session. Let’s just say….. the forecast all week/most of Sunday missed this storm and it started to rain within five minutes of us starting photos… but ohh gosh they were troopers and let me keep shooting in the rain so we could at least have something because at that point we had NO idea if we’d catch a break and be able to do the second outfit. We were able to get photos with their sweet pups as well so that was a huge win and even though it was super quick we had a lot of fun and I was super excited about what we had thus far. We decided to hang out for a while and see what the weather would do. Well it gave us a small break!!!!! We were about to get them into outfit number two and we shot until it started pouring again!!!

Y’all the rain totally caught us off guard but gosh I had so much fun with Henry & Kayla. They kept each other laughing and smiling and I loved getting to know them as a couple!! Can’t wait to get to know them even more over the next 7 months!!! I’m super excited about sharing their engagement session images with y’all!!! Here are a few of my favorites from their session!!

Rachel & Ben were married on an incredible fall weekend in the upstate of South Carolina.  The weekend started out with family and friends celebrating these two at the Greenville Country Club for the rehearsal dinner.  The included hugs, the most beautiful toasts, and Ben grabbing his guitar and playing/singing for guests.  That evening set […]

For the last few years I’ve photographed Ballet Spartanburg’s performances of the Nutcracker.  It is an honor to capture these incredible students and professional dancers that share the stage for this family favorite in the heart of Spartanburg, SC.  Most years I capture the dress rehearsals, this past year due to a wedding in Charleston […]

After 18 years and hundreds & hundreds of weddings, I’ve had a front-row seat to some of the most thoughtful, personal, and beautifully designed wedding days across the Southeast. And when couples ask me what I remember most about a wedding, the answer is almost always the details. I think about the invitation suite printed […]
