Katie & Chris | Spartanburg Engagement Session

Engagement sessions make me so happy!! They not only allow the couple to get to know me but I get to know them!! Engagement sessions let me try all the things so I can see what works to bring out their personalities (and then on wedding day when we don’t have as much time I go straight to the stuff that works for them!!), what shows them as a couple the best and just how the couple goes together. We have a lot of fun and I do a combination of posed and not posed and usually ask my couples a million questions to get to know them better!!

In January I met up with Katie & Chris for their engagement session and y’all I was SOO excited to finally get to meet Katie & Chris in person!!  We met up in Spartanburg and we all froze while at the same time laughed and smiled and had so much fun.  These two met at Clemson and have been together a little over 5 years and are soo excited to get married.  When they first reached out to me about photographing their wedding Katie told me that their wedding was going to  include lots of fun and dancing… and they hadn’t locked down the venue or date… but Chris had already started their wedding playlist!! Y’all I can’t wait to hear the playlist in October!!!!!  Katie & Chris, thank y’all so much for coming into Spartanburg for your session and for braving the cold with me.  I can’t wait to see y’all again soon!!! Here are a handful of my favorite images for your engagement session at Glendale Shoals!!

Rachel & Ben were married on an incredible fall weekend in the upstate of South Carolina.  The weekend started out with family and friends celebrating these two at the Greenville Country Club for the rehearsal dinner.  The included hugs, the most beautiful toasts, and Ben grabbing his guitar and playing/singing for guests.  That evening set […]

For the last few years I’ve photographed Ballet Spartanburg’s performances of the Nutcracker.  It is an honor to capture these incredible students and professional dancers that share the stage for this family favorite in the heart of Spartanburg, SC.  Most years I capture the dress rehearsals, this past year due to a wedding in Charleston […]

After 18 years and hundreds & hundreds of weddings, I’ve had a front-row seat to some of the most thoughtful, personal, and beautifully designed wedding days across the Southeast. And when couples ask me what I remember most about a wedding, the answer is almost always the details. I think about the invitation suite printed […]
