A few weeks I traveled up to The Hotel Concord for Bethany & John’s wedding day and y’all can I just say how beautiful of a day and venue it was!!!! It was a COLD day but it was beautiful and Bethany & John didn’t care at all about the weather they were just excited to be getting married!!!
When I arrived Bethany was in the getting ready area surrounded by her family and friends and y’all it was so fun to walk into a room that was bustling about with her childhood friends and family. Bethany slipped into her dress and her mom buttoned the buttons of both her dress & lace coat as her sweet bridesmaids peeked around the corner to sneak a look!! There were a lot of smiles & laughter and it was so fun to be in the midst of all of it!!
When I went down to photograph the guys only John was ready… I have NO idea what they were doing but getting dressed for the wedding was the last thing on their mind!! But y’all once they were dressed they were such a fun group of groomsmen!!
Bethany & John opted to do a first look and the smile on Bethany’s face as she walked toward John and then his sweet smile when he saw his bride was precious!! I always love documenting first looks and gift exchanges with my couples because they are by themselves and so often we get lots of giggles and maybe some tears and it’s just so fun!! Because The Hotel Concord has great natural light at the time of portraits I decided to do all but the full bridal party portraits in side in the ballroom and I am so happy I did because it kept everyone warm but also changed things up for me and I love it!!
