The last time I saw Lindsey & Harris at the same time was at their engagement session. I fell in love with the two of them and have been looking forward to their wedding day ever since. Y’all it had been a few months since I’d seen them but when I walked into both of their rooms on September 17th at The Westin it was like I was walking into a friend or family members room and I loved it!! From the moment I said hello to Lindsey & her family & bridesmaids I felt like I was “home”. And what I mean by that was I didn’t feel like I was a photographer. Yes, I was the photographer but they welcomed me so kindly and were all just so laid back and it was so much fun!! I had never photographed in The Westin before but ohh gosh I am SUCH a fan of their rooms and the amount of light that comes into them (so if you’re a future bride getting married in downtown Greenville, SC… get ready there!!!!! 🙂 🙂 ) it was beautiful and I didn’t want to stop shooting!!! After getting Lindsey into her dress and all dolled up I headed to Harris’ room where he and his groomsmen were!! They were having a lot of fun and I hated to pull Harris away but he had a date with his bride :)!!
Lindsey & Harris opted for a first look and it was soo stinking sweet!! I picked a side street next to The Westin and it ended up being perfect!!! The two of them were so excited & happy to see each other!! We then made our way down to Larkin’s on The River where they were having both their ceremony & reception. We took the long way 😉 so we could get quite a few portraits and it was so much fun!! These two are amazing together and amazing in front of the camera! They didn’t even care that I was there they were just doing their thing and I was loving capturing candids mixed in with set up shots all along the way!! We then had fun with their bridal party & family before hiding the two of them upstairs in the Cabaret room prior to their ceremony. The beautiful ceremony took place in the Larkin’s Courtyard. Loved all the sweet moments & laughs that happened as Lindsey & Harris became husband & wife!! Their pastor did such a great job with the ceremony and made it special and unique to them. As I edited the photos I loved seeing how he interacted with the two of them during the ceremony!! After they tied the knot we took a few more photos but pretty quickly made our way to The Shirley Roe Cabaret Room for their reception. They were greeted by friends & family from all over!! They were dotted on by family & friends and I loved getting to listen to the speeches that Harris’ dad, his best man, and Lindsey’s maid of honor gave. These two are VERY loved but the also love back just as much as they are loved. I know I said it in their engagement session blog post, but these two are two of the kindest and sweetest people ever and it has been an absolute joy & honor to not only document their love story but to become their friends!!!
Lindsey & Harris, thank y’all for wanting me to be your wedding photographer. Thank y’all for letting me into your lives & for letting me share in this time with y’all!! I am soo looking forward to getting to know the two of you better!! I think Sage, Daisy, and Boone are going to have a fun doggie date when we get them all together!!!
