If you missed last Friday’s post, well I would suggest not going any further before going back and seeing the images from the first part of the session I did with Whitney back on a FREEZING cold day in December (don’t worry I’ll wait because I think it’s totally worth it 🙂 ). We were probably out shooting for about an hour and I have NO idea how Whitney did it!! Thankfully she had a blanket and when we weren’t shooting she was wrapped up trying to stay warm. Y’all I seriously couldn’t narrow down the photos to post so that’s why there are two posts. This was one of those sessions where we just had a blast and I was super snap happy and we walked away with some amazing images!! After photographing Whitney on this cold morning I remembered why I love to do sessions in the morning… I LOVE sunrises, I love the light, I love the haze, ohh I love everything about a good sunrise (and boy we had a good sunrise that particular morning)!!! So for all of you willing to brave a super early wake up call I’m all game because I LOVE photographing sessions at this time of day!!!
Y’all I don’t even know where to begin with Whitney. She is such an amazing young lady and it has been such a honor to get to know her and become friends with her over the last few years. I love that our relationship started off as business and now has turned to friendship!! She is a total sweetheart!! She is genuine, kind, caring, loyal, sweet, fun, energetic, and just all around awesome!!! Whitney, I wish so much that 2 hours wasn’t between Greenville & Greensboro because I have a feeling we could have weekly friend dates :)!!!! Thank you for braving the freezing cold, early, December morning to get in front of my camera!! It was an absolute blast working with you on this session… thank you for being willing to walk in waist high grass, through leaves, and for letting me be creative and just do my thing!!! Y’all when we started the session Whitney said something like “I’m not good in front of the camera”… I BEG TO DIFFER!! Whitney, you rocked the camera and I just had so much fun trying to keep up with what you were going to do next 🙂 :)!!! Between the session, our coffee date afterwards, and then editing… this session brought & breathed so much life & joy into me and I am so thankful for that!!!
I could probably write and write about Whitney and this session, but I’m not going to…. because I want y’all to see these photos!!!!!!!!!!!
I know I said it Friday, but good gravy her smile is contagious!!!
Whitney, seriously thank you for being up for anything and everything for this shoot!!!!!
UMMMMM this light right here is why I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE early morning sessions!!!
Between the light, Whitney, the field, and her dress I was in photographer’s HEAVEN!!!!
I LOVE this session so much… but I am seriously IN LOVE with this image!!
She was loving all the twirling she did in this dress!!! Speaking of dress… both this dress and the other dress are from Anthropologie!!
If you know BOTH of us or really just either of us you’ll know we love to smile… but we did bring a littler seriousness to the shoot!!!
AND then it was back to smiles 🙂 !!!!
So glad she had this blanket in her car!!! It’s from target and it is AMAZING… it went perfectly with her and her dress and the location!!!!
AHHH Whitney this was so much fun!!! Let’s do it again soon!!!!! 🙂 🙂
I walk away from sessions and weddings always loving what happened. I love the time I spend with those in front of my camera, I love the memories we create, the memories I capture, the friendships made/deepened, and the images that we walk away with…. This session was no exception, I LOVE everything about this shoot and I am soo soo thankful that Whitney trusted me and my camera!!! Whitney, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
And seriously, if you need any sort of design work – logo, blog, website, branding, etc…. y’all need to check Whitney out!! She does amazing work & I’m already secretly wondering what I’ll hire her for next with Kendra Martin Photography!! She is so much fun to work with… you won’t be disappointed!!!!! OHH and she has a personal blog that y’all should check out too!!!! If you can’t tell I love Whitney… I know business is what brought us together, but even without the business aspect I believe God would have put us in each others lives at some point… this lady means a lot to me!!!!!
