H family session… {Sugar Land, TX – Family Portrait Photographer}

I absolutely LOVE this family!!  A few years ago I met them for the first time during a family session… it was SOOO HOT that morning, but we managed to get some great photos of all 4 of them… fast forward and I have photographed them a handful of times since that really hot morning.  We always seem to pick days where it is hot and humid… this year would have been the same had it not rained and we had to push their session to the end of October.  Instead of hot and humid we got COLD AND WINDY :)… All I have to say is that these four are troopers and will brave all weather conditions :)!!!  You 4 mean so much to me and I have LOVED getting to know all of you and especially watch the boys grow up these last few years!!  Thank you so much for wanting me to take your family photos again this year.  I loved spending my Saturday morning with you four!!!  Here’s a few photos from their session…

Some of my favorite photographs from a wedding weekend are taken with everyone in khakis. I’ve been thinking about that lately. After almost twenty years of photographing weddings, I’ve learned that the moments my couples come back to years later are not always the ones you would expect.  The first look matters. The vows matter. […]

Rachel & Ben were married on an incredible fall weekend in the upstate of South Carolina.  The weekend started out with family and friends celebrating these two at the Greenville Country Club for the rehearsal dinner.  The included hugs, the most beautiful toasts, and Ben grabbing his guitar and playing/singing for guests.  That evening set […]

For the last few years I’ve photographed Ballet Spartanburg’s performances of the Nutcracker.  It is an honor to capture these incredible students and professional dancers that share the stage for this family favorite in the heart of Spartanburg, SC.  Most years I capture the dress rehearsals, this past year due to a wedding in Charleston […]
