happy birthday Melissa!!!

So yeah she may kill me for writing about her… but I just had to do it!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MELISSA!!!

I so wish that I could be there to celebrate your 26th birthday with you (can you believe we’re both 26 now?).  I do hope you have an absolutely amazing day because you deserve it 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

I just want to tell you that you mean the world to me and I am so incredibly thankful that God put us in each others lives 18 years ago.  The past 18 years have been amazing and watching our friendship grow/strengthen/blossom has been fun.  I have loved growing up with you & sharing life with you!!!  It’s funny because we’ve lived away from each other the majority of our friendship, but through multiple moves, going to different colleges, making lots of new friends, me moving half way across the country… you’ve always stood beside me, listened to me, hugged me, and then jumped right back in where we left off, even when we’ve been uber busy.  You are the best friend anyone could ask for, and somehow I got lucky enough to have you as mine.  You are an amazing woman & I feel so blessed and honored to have you in my life.

I love you Melissa, and I CAN’T WAIT to hang out again (we need to figure out when we can do that.. fyi 😉 ).  Enjoy today!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

<3 Kendra

… and because every post is better with a photo… here’s a photo that’s already made it’s appearance on the blog but it’s the most recent of the two of us so it’s going up here again 🙂

Photography is in my blood and seeking truth is in my soul. Which is a deep way of saying, I’ve loved to take photos for a really long time, y’all. I’d love to share my story with you then listen to yours.

I photographed a wedding at a private estate two years ago where hair and makeup ran behind. We went from having an hour and a half for all of the portraits to having thirty minutes, and that thirty minutes still had to cover the bride and groom, the wedding party, and both families. While we […]

Palm Springs, California is one of those places you visit and you’ll never forget!! I loved my time there and really enjoyed my time with Sasha & Chloe for their session amongst the windmills!! We had so much fun and I’m so excited to share a handful of my favorite images from my session with […]

I was standing on a porch in Highlands last fall, watching the fog roll down over the mountains while a bride got her veil pinned in by her mom. Nobody was rushing. There was coffee going cold on a side table and somebody’s grandfather telling a story in the next room. And I remember thinking: […]
