Three weeks ago tomorrow morning Ryan & Kyle eloped at Hotel Domestique and y’all it was the most beautiful September morning!! Three weeks prior to their elopement the two of them sat on my back porch with me talking about how they wanted to get married and we threw around ideas and I just randomly showed them an engagement session that I had done at Hotel Domestique last fall and they both immediately said that’s where they wanted to elope!! Well that night Kyle booked a room and all the details fell into place over the next three weeks and on Friday, September 18th I arrived that morning to document these two getting married!!
Their room overlooked the mountains and it seriously was the most beautiful day. All week we had been watching the forecast and were pretty sure the hurricane that had hit the gulf a few days earlier was going make it’s appearance all weekend in the upstate…. but y’all you NEVER would have know that just a day prior it rained ALL DAY/NIGHT because the sky was clear and it was beautiful!!! Back to Ryan & Kyle!! These two had the sweetest play list going as they were getting ready and it was so fun to document their banter and smiles and nervousness that morning. After these two were ready to go I headed down to the courtyard to meet up with their officiant to make sure we were good to go for their ceremony!!
Ryan & Kyle wanted it to be a super intimate ceremony that consisted of the two of them, their officiant and her wife and then me!! What Ryan didn’t know was that Kyle was surprising her with both of their parents being there as well (which was such a sweet surprise… but geesh I had to go three weeks keeping the surprise and it KILLED ME!!!). We got everyone in place and I was texting Kyle that it was a go and y’all as soon as Ryan saw their parents the tears started!! Ryan & Kyle walked hand in hand to the opposite end of the courtyard and immediately hugged their parents. My momma heart was bursting with joy and love and tears (I’m in tears right now as I type this….. side note I’ve known Ryan for a few years. We were instagram friends that turned to real friends and she watched my girls the summer of 2019 daily so Ryan is one of my brides, a friend and also family to me so that whole day I was full of all the emotions as I am right now because it was so so special to document this morning for the two of them) and everyone else was crying too!! These two then got set and exchanged the sweetest vows to one another followed by rings and then were pronounced husband & wife!!!!
Loved getting to meet their parents and Marie & Cammie and getting to document the two of them get married!!! After everyone departed for Greenville where they would have brunch a little later the three of us went all over Hotel Domestique’s grounds to take photos and y’all it was so much fun!! These two were soo incredibly happy and it was so fun to photograph!!! I could probably keep writing about Ryan & Kyle…. but I’m going to stop because I am excited to share a few of my favorite images from their elopement with y’all!!
Ryan & Kyle!! THANK YOU, soo soo much for wanting me to document this morning for y’all. I love you two and I am so incredibly happy for the two of you!!!!
