13 years ago today we got married. We had NO idea at 22 & 23 years old what life had in store of us. Had you told me all the highs, lows, and in between we’d experience in the last 13 years I don’t know if I would have believed it. 13 years of being married to you and I’m pretty sure I’d do it all again š (for those who don’t know that was sarcasmā¦ I would totally do it again.. I mean I’d do away with some of the horrible we’ve gone through if I did it againā¦ but I’d do it again!!) I’ve loved calling you my husband for the last 13 years.
You are my safe place and the person that cheers me on the loudest and hardest. You make me a better person. You make me want to dream & chase bigger dreams and at the same time sit on a beach, or on the back porch or around the fire every night of the week sipping our drinks of choice and just be. We are as different as night and day but yet for 13 years we’ve made this marriage thing “work”. We’ve had our disagreements and fights and it’s been a lot of work but gosh it’s been worth all of it to do life alongside of you.
Gary, I love you with my whole heart. You’ve had my heart since I was 14 years oldā¦ and every single year I realize I love you more than I did the year before. Thank you for all that you do for me. For all that you do for our family. Thank you for loving me on my good days and also on my bad. Thank you for being willing to listen to me passenger seat driveā¦ knowing I will NEVER hop in the driver’s seat. Thank you for being that safe place for me to go round and round about things with. Thank you for dreaming with me even if our dreams are crazy and far fetched at times. Here’s to many many many more dreams and memories and years of being your wife. I love you!!
