It may be silly but when you have a best friend that you’ve had since elementary school you dream & think about things like having babies at the same time.  When I got the phone call last fall that my best friend Melissa was pregnant… and only 7 weeks behind me I was ecstatic!!! I couldn’t believe it… something we’d talked about and dreamed about together was actually happening.  We were going to be having babies within a short period of each other and that means they get to grow up with one another… baby M & baby Kenlee can totally have all the fun we used to have… and they’ll have Kenzie to “rule” over them… because I definitely see her telling them what to do (in the nicest way of course)!!!  I am soo soo excited for Matt & Melissa and CAN NOT wait to meet baby M in the coming months and I’m still very much in shock that we are both having babies right now!!! I am a little sad though because with Kenlee’s arrival in just a few weeks I know I’ll be missing out on showers for Melissa, but hopefully she knows I’m there in spirit!!!

The first weekend of February I was lucky enough to help throw a shower (alongside so many other amazing women… y’all if you’re reading this, thank you for helping make that shower a reality and for the amazing job y’all did) for Melissa!! I think Melissa referred to this one as her “family & church family” shower 🙂 and it was such an honor to help plan and be part of! And I am so thankful she was up for having it so early… I knew there was no way if it was any later that I could make the trip home… so Melissa, thank you for being willing to do it super bowl weekend!!! 🙂 🙂  Anyways, the afternoon of the shower I met up with Melissa in Winston-Salem for a short maternity session.  What I love about where we met was that we took her & Matt’s engagement photos in the same area!! Matt ran the Krispy Kreme run earlier that day so let’s just say he wasn’t feeling up for photos that evening 🙂 but I’m so glad Melissa still was because it was an honor to take these & we walked away with some beautiful images!!!  She is such a beautiful pregnant lady!!!  So glad we got a little one on one time that weekend because I always love my time with my best friend… and as most parents know… alone time with friends doesn’t always happen very often, especially when you live a little ways from each other…. so even if it was short, it was sweet and I loved it!!!  Melissa, I seriously can not wait to meet this little man that’s going to call you mommy!! You are going to be such an AMAZING mom!!!

Greenville, you’ve been a beautiful backdrop—but lately, I’ve fallen hard for something else: private estate weddings. If you’re dreaming of tying the knot somewhere that’s more your world than a checklist, a family home‑turned‑wedding‑day‑stage is where the real magic happens. Why private estates feel so right Authentic comfort from beginning to end It’s your space. […]

Loved getting to document these incredible details planned and executed by Talyor Dawn & Katie York for this Montaluce Winery editorial. Montaluce is located in northern Georgia and it was incredible in every way. From the rolling hills where the vineyards were located to the actual venue and the food. This beautiful October day was […]

Jenn & Craig were married at the incredible Hotel Domestique. The two had an intimate day surrounded by family & friends that traveled to South Carolina to experience a location the two of them love to visit. Jenn & Craig live in Florida but love to visit the Upstate of South Carolina yearly. Jenn & […]
