Molly & Daniel’s Saluda Inn Wedding | Saluda, North Carolina

Molly & Daniel were married at the Saluda Inn, in Saluda, North Carolina. The day started with the ladies getting ready at Molly’s family home on Lake Summit. The day was incredibly beautiful, joyful, and full of rain :)!! We started dodging rain as Molly and her bridesmaids were taking photos at the house. I knew the forecast was off and on all day so we knew to be ready for anything… and we were. After portraits at the lake we headed to The Saluda Inn where I’m pretty sure it continued to be off and on the rest of the day. The rest of the afternoon was filled with gaps of no rain which we took full advantage of for portraits, but also pivoted and rolled with it. The radar was telling us one thing at times and doing something different so when it came time to do the ceremony we went ahead and crossing our fingers that it wouldn’t rain. And it was holding up until the moment Molly linked up with her brother to walk down the aisle and the bottom dropped. Molly & Daniel didn’t let it phase them. Guests cuddled up under umbrellas to try and stay dry, while umbrellas were passed down the aisle to cover the two of them during the ceremony. It was the sweetest ceremony despite the rain!! After the ceremony they headed to celebrate the two of them into the evening! This day was amazing!! Super excited to share a peek at their day!

Photography is in my blood and seeking truth is in my soul. Which is a deep way of saying, I’ve loved to take photos for a really long time, y’all. I’d love to share my story with you then listen to yours.

I was standing on a porch in Highlands last fall, watching the fog roll down over the mountains while a bride got her veil pinned in by her mom. Nobody was rushing. There was coffee going cold on a side table and somebody’s grandfather telling a story in the next room. And I remember thinking: […]

Some of my favorite photographs from a wedding weekend are taken with everyone in khakis. I’ve been thinking about that lately. After almost twenty years of photographing weddings, I’ve learned that the moments my couples come back to years later are not always the ones you would expect.  The first look matters. The vows matter. […]

Rachel & Ben were married on an incredible fall weekend in the upstate of South Carolina.  The weekend started out with family and friends celebrating these two at the Greenville Country Club for the rehearsal dinner.  The included hugs, the most beautiful toasts, and Ben grabbing his guitar and playing/singing for guests.  That evening set […]
