Abbie & Liz | Holy City Brewing Wedding | Charleston Wedding Photographer

If you were to type in “Abbie” into the search bar of this blog it would take you back to 2015 when I first met her!! She was finishing her junior year of high school and looking to intern in photography. I was hesitant because I’d never had someone else with me before but I said yes and that yes has been one of the best yes’ I’ve made!!

Abbie stepped in front of my camera that fall as a high school senior and then many more times over the years. In the fall following her graduation at College of Charleston she stepped in front of it again on the campus of where she was now an alumni and with her girlfriend. That was the first time I met Liz and I’m pretty sure Liz got talked int being in those photos… and I’m so glad she said yes and I got to finally meet her!!

Over the next couple of years any time I was in Charleston I’d catch up with Abbie if we could make it happen and often Liz came along and so I got to know her even more and so when the time came that these two ladies started talking about getting married and they asked me to document their wedding I couldn’t be more excited for them!! Liz proposed first and wedding planning started!!! In the fall of 2022 I headed to Charleston for their downtown engagement session! They wanted to do the session in the city where they met and fell in love and y’all we had so much fun!!

Fast forward to October 2023 and I was back in Charleston for their wedding!!!! And gosh was it an amazing day! The day before it POURED but October 14th was perfect and such an honor to document. Abbie & Liz chose The Porter Room at Holy City Brewing as the backdrop of their day and were married overlooking the marsh with their friends and family there supporting the two of them. They then danced the night away!! The entire day was filled with so much love, so much excitement and I am so excited for you all to get a peek at their day through this post!

Abbie & Liz, thank you both soo much for wanting me to be there! You two mean the world to me and I am so excited for you two!! Can’t wait to see yall again soon!!
