Anna Grace & Will – The Night Before | The Country Club of Spartanburg

When Will’s mom reached out to me about photographing Anna Grace & Will’s rehearsal dinner/welcome party, I was ecstatic! First off because if you’ve been following along with me for a while you’ll know that I’ve been photographing Anna Grace since she was a senior… from senior in high school, to senior in college, to engaged to wedding!! And secondly, I love rehearsal dinners because it gives me the opportunity to meet family and friends prior to the wedding day… and the biggest reason I love documenting rehearsals/rehearsal dinners/welcome parties.. is because those few hours will fly by and the couple has images to look back and remember that time with some of their favorite people!!

I arrived at the The Country Club of Spartanburg before everyone so that I could capture beautiful details that Mrs. Randall had planned. The details were beautiful and so sweet!! My favorite detail from the night was the cake topper that looked just like Anna Grace & Will!!! Ughh it was amazing!!

I had the opportunity to greet Anna Grace & Will, and friends as they got off the bus. I immediately swept Anna Grace & Will away for a few minutes photos of the two of them.

Anna Grace & Will walked hand-in-hand into their cocktail hour, where their guests welcomed them with cheers and hugs. After enjoying cocktails and live music on the patio the guests had a sit-down dinner in the ballroom.

One of my favorite things about rehearsal dinners are the toasts that happen in the more intimate setting. So many of Anna Grace & Will’s family and friends gave beautiful, heartfelt, fun toasts, that at time’s had Anna Grace & Will, and the entire room, crying and laughing.

After dinner and toasts, Anna Grace & Will headed back to the patio, where they were greeted by more guests for their welcome party. The evening was so fun and everyone danced and mingled into the night.

Will surprised his bride-to-be by taking the mic, and singing a song to Anna Grace. It was a very sweet night, and had me so excited for the next day!

Anna Grace & Will!!! I loved getting to document this evening for you two!!! So looking forward to sharing your wedding day on here!!

Photography is in my blood and seeking truth is in my soul. Which is a deep way of saying, I’ve loved to take photos for a really long time, y’all. I’d love to share my story with you then listen to yours.

Some of my favorite photographs from a wedding weekend are taken with everyone in khakis. I’ve been thinking about that lately. After almost twenty years of photographing weddings, I’ve learned that the moments my couples come back to years later are not always the ones you would expect.  The first look matters. The vows matter. […]

Rachel & Ben were married on an incredible fall weekend in the upstate of South Carolina.  The weekend started out with family and friends celebrating these two at the Greenville Country Club for the rehearsal dinner.  The included hugs, the most beautiful toasts, and Ben grabbing his guitar and playing/singing for guests.  That evening set […]

For the last few years I’ve photographed Ballet Spartanburg’s performances of the Nutcracker.  It is an honor to capture these incredible students and professional dancers that share the stage for this family favorite in the heart of Spartanburg, SC.  Most years I capture the dress rehearsals, this past year due to a wedding in Charleston […]
