6 Reasons to Say “I Do” at The Reserve At Lake Keowee

I get it. Choosing the perfect venue for your wedding is one of the most important decisions you’ll make in your wedding planning process. It could also be a hard decision to make.

And while I have plenty of favorite wedding venues across the Southeast, one of my absolute favorites is The Reserve at Lake Keowee. It’s gorgeous.

Located in Sunset, South Carolina, The Reserve at Lake Keowee is a premier destination for couples looking to tie the knot. Nestled amidst the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the pristine waters of Lake Keowee, the Reserve offers a picturesque backdrop for your wedding ceremony and reception. It’s jaw-droppingly beautiful. It’s stunning. It’s perfect for a memorable wedding experience.

So today, I want to explore eight reasons why the Reserve at Lake Keowee is the perfect place to say “I do” and why it should be at the top of your wedding venue list.

Multiple unique locations for different weddings

The Reserve at Lake Keowee boasts some of the most stunning scenery in the Southeast. There are numerous beautiful settings for your wedding.

Are you looking for an outdoor location to tie the knot? If so, there are plenty of rolling hills and panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the sparkling waters of Lake Keowee.

Do you prefer an indoor, traditional setting? Then the ballroom with its grand crystal chandeliers is likely right up your alley. Don’t even get me started on the chapel… the architecture around it is INCREDIBLE.

From the ballroom to the terrace to the vista overlooking the lake and mountains, the venue has so many fantastic options to make your wedding day memorable.

The large variety of wedding locations also means we’ll have so many options for photo locations. Some of my favorite photo locations at The Reserve at Lake Keowee are:

  • Founders Hall
  • The Great Lawn
  • Croquet Lawn

It’s literally a photographer’s dream.

Ample on-site accommodations for guests

If you have a lot of guests traveling for your wedding, they will be able to easily find lodging nearby.

The Reserve at Lake Keowee has various accommodations for rent. Their on-site cottages, villas, and rental homes are perfect for you and your wedding guests. You and your bridesmaids could rent a house to get ready on the morning of your wedding.

Your guests can also take advantage of outdoor activities like hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, golfing, and simply soaking in the serene atmosphere during their stay.

Plus, to top it off, The Reserve is close to Greenville, SC, so you and your guests can also take advantage of all that the city offers.

Flexibility in planning and customization of your wedding details

Couples can plan any wedding here. The Reserve has a phenomenal staff. A dedicated team of individuals will happily assist you with your wedding, helping you customize your chosen venue according to your vision. Whether you want a super simple and intimate wedding or a lavish extravaganza with guests spilling out onto the lawn, there’s something for every wedding design.

Pro Tip: You should probably still hire a wedding planner to help you plan your wedding. Not sure how a wedding planner can help you? Be sure to read my blog post that breaks down the differences between a wedding coordinator, a wedding planner, and a venue coordinator.

All-inclusive packages

Want to host your entire wedding weekend at The Reserve at Lake Keowee? You’re in luck because they offer all-inclusive wedding packages to take care of every detail, from your rehearsal dinner to your wedding reception.

The packages include everything from catering and bar services to linens and decor, so you can rest assured that every aspect of your wedding will be handled. And you can, of course, choose the package that best fits your vision and budget.

If the included items don’t cover everything you need, you can still bring in outside rentals to help bring your vision to life. Again, your wedding planner can help you with this! (Can you tell I’m a big proponent of working with a wedding planner???)

Delicious catering options

When it comes to catering and food, The Reserve at Lake Keowee has you covered. Their experienced culinary team works with you to create a menu that fits your taste, budget, and style. You can choose a formal, plated dinner, semi-formal/semi-casual stations, or a casual buffet-style meal. Whatever you choose, I guarantee you that the food will impress your guests.

If you want a beautiful, unforgettable wedding in a natural setting, The Reserve at Lake Keowee is the perfect destination. With its stunning natural surroundings, world-class amenities, dedicated wedding team, multiple venues, catering options, accommodation options, fun activities, and convenient location, The Reserve offers everything you need to make your special day truly unforgettable.
