Charleston Engagement Session – Abbie & Liz

I’m going to go ahead and give you fair warning… I’m about to be wordy!! But it’s because I can’t write about this engagement session without first giving a little backstory about one of these beautiful brides!! Almost 8 years ago Abbie reach out to me about interning with me during her senior year of high school. Not going to lie… had NO idea what to expect… how to handle it… what to do with that email!! BUT I emailed her back and her and her mom came over to my house and we talked about what she needed and what it would look like. I won’t go into all the details… but that one email changed the direction of my business. I was one that didn’t know how to bring anyone else on… but Abbie took a chance on me and I in turn tried something new and I’m so glad because from there having someone with me at weddings especially became mandatory and I’m able to love and serve my couples better because of that yes 8 years ago… so Abbie, thank you!! Thank you for reaching out to me so many years ago… and then trusting me to take all sorts of photos for you over the years that has led to photos of your sister and to NOW YOUR WEDDING!!!!!!

I know I yelled/cried happy tears the day I found out Abbie and Liz were engaged!!! I first met Liz a few years ago when I was in Charleston and I was taking Abbies college senior photos. I remember telling Gary “those two are going to get married”… and here they are a few years later getting married and I am so stinking excited for them. Back in October I was heading to the lowcountry for a field trip. Told Abbie & Liz about it and while we had talked about a mountain engagement session we quickly changed things up to Charleston since it’s where the two of them met and fell in love and now call home. I popped down a day early and met them on Chalmers street and we had the most fun evening!!! Laughing and talking and me smiling ear to ear and documenting how much they love one another. And now I’m sooo excited to share a few of my favorite images from their session with y’all!!!

Abbie & Liz, THANK Y’ALL soo soo much for wanting me to document this sweet time in y’alls lives!! I love y’all and I’m soo soo thankful that Abbie you took a chance and emailed me 8 years ago!!!!!
