I’m not even sure where to start with Katie & Sam’s wedding day!!! I’ll start with it being my first every New Years Eve wedding, and IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!! I had the honor of not only photographing their wedding day but also their rehearsal dinner so it was so much fun getting to be with everyone for so long and more than anything getting to spend so much time with Katie & Sam!! These two are amazing and it has been so fun getting to know them over the last year. Other than a little rain (that we never saw and only saw the effects of during portrait time) Katie & Sam couldn’t have asked for a more perfect December 31st!!! December can be CRAZY cold in South Carolina, but on December 31st we had the most mild day!!!
Katie & Sam from the very beginning of their day were surrounded by their family & friends as they both got ready and hung out prior to their ceremony. There was a A LOT of laughter and a few happy tears shed throughout the morning/early afternoon and all of it was so fun to be part of. Katie & Sam had a catholic mass that was in the early afternoon and it was beautiful. More than the ceremony being beautiful the way these two stole glances at one another just makes me smile. Following the ceremony and family photos at the church we headed back to downtown Greenville for a few wedding party photos and then photos of Katie & Sam!! There were rain puddles EVERY WHERE so we had to get creative but gosh I am so soo happy with their portraits and thinking back to that time with Katie & Sam, just knowing how excited they were to be married and be with one another!!
After portraits Katie & Sam freshened up and made a few changes to their outfits!! While they were doing that I was able to sneak into the Poinsett ballroom and capture all the incredible details!! Y’all it was stunning!!! Before the ballroom was opened to guests Katie & Sam had a chance to have a first look of it and those images are some of my favorites from the day!! It’s so fun to see a couples & the planners reaction to the end result from all the planning they had done for the past year!!! From there it was time to celebrate these two… and celebrate they did!!!! WHAT.A.FUN.EVENING!!!!! This post is going to be huge, so apologizing now!!!
