Hillary & Anthony’s NC Mountain Elopement | Asheville Wedding Photographer

Over the summer Hillary & Anthony made the tough decision to postpone their September wedding to next summer and while I was super sad we wouldn’t be getting them married I 100% understood and supported their decision.  Fast forward about a month and Hillary and I were chatting and she asked me what I was going to be doing on their original wedding date and I told her I was toying with hosting a posing workshop and I asked her if they wanted to model for it.  And she then asked if actually they could book me to photograph their elopement!!!  Y’all tears started falling and I said “YES” and the planning began for the two of them to still get married on September 19th and then still plan the wedding in the summer of 2021 where all of their family and friends could be there to celebrate these two!!

Hillary & Anthony met when they were both living in Asheville so that whole area is super important to them and their story so they found a rental overlooking the mountains in Waynesville, NC where they would get married.  Some of their closest family quarantined for two weeks and made the trip to NC to be there as they got married and y’all it was the sweetest ceremony.  Their were tears and laughter and there was so much joy and love and it was so Hillary & Anthony!!  After the ceremony we took family photos and then did a whole lot of husband & wife photos and it was the most beautiful evening!!!  They were surrounded by so much love and support and it was so special to be part of it!!

Hillary & Anthony, thank y’all so much for wanting me to photograph September 19th for y’all!! Here are a few of my favorites from y’alls elopement!!

I grew up in a house full of photos. My dad or I when I was old enough, was always behind a camera…family dinners, road trips, Sunday afternoons that probably didn’t seem worth documenting but somehow always were. That’s where I fell in love with this work. And somewhere along the way, I also learned […]

Meredith and J.G. invited their family and friends to the Piermont Cottage, which is part of Old Edwards Inn for brunch and farewells the morning after their wedding day.
The morning was full stories that were filled with laughter and joy!! It was the perfect way to end an amazing weekend. Venue  | The Farm […]

Meredith and John Grady were married on a beautiful, Friday afternoon in July in Highlands, North Carolina. Meredith began her day at the Farm at Old Edwards Inn, surrounded by so many incredible women in her life. The morning was full of joy, love, and an abundance of happy tears. After Meredith slipped into her […]
