Saturday this sweet bride & friend of mine became a wife!!!  I will hold off on talking about the wedding and keep it to bridal portraits!!  I’m super excited to finally share these photos!! Back in June we met up on a Saturday afternoon to take the portraits.  We started the session at Emily’s home church in Greer and were supposed to head to Mountain View Estate for the remainder of the session but the weather decided to have other plans.  I’ve kind of come to expect rain or some sort of crazy weather when either Emily or her sister Brittany are scheduled to have their photos taken because it rained right before Brittany’s Engagement session, was CRAZY cold for Brittany’s bridal and then POURED on her wedding day, then for Emily is poured prior to her engagement session and then again on her bridal session day… but thankfully we had a beautiful, HOT day for the wedding.  I’ll definitely take HOT over RAIN!!!!  I digress!! I watched the weather all week and the percentage of rain kept changing and we made the decision to go ahead with the session no matter what.  So rain or shine we were doing the session…. it definitely rained THE ENTIRE session.  If you’ve seen my work you’ll notice that I prefer to take photos outside… well I knew in this case I’d get a few minutes at the church due to an overhang but other than that I was shooting the session inside.  I can say that I was pushed out of my comfort zone for Emily’s photos but I am so glad I was because I ADORE her images!!!  Emily, thank you for being so flexible and go with the flow for this session!!  Here are just a few of my favorite images for Emily’s Bridal Portrait Session!!

I grew up in a house full of photos. My dad or I when I was old enough, was always behind a camera…family dinners, road trips, Sunday afternoons that probably didn’t seem worth documenting but somehow always were. That’s where I fell in love with this work. And somewhere along the way, I also learned […]

Meredith and J.G. invited their family and friends to the Piermont Cottage, which is part of Old Edwards Inn for brunch and farewells the morning after their wedding day.
The morning was full stories that were filled with laughter and joy!! It was the perfect way to end an amazing weekend. Venue  | The Farm […]

Meredith and John Grady were married on a beautiful, Friday afternoon in July in Highlands, North Carolina. Meredith began her day at the Farm at Old Edwards Inn, surrounded by so many incredible women in her life. The morning was full of joy, love, and an abundance of happy tears. After Meredith slipped into her […]
