I kicked off July documenting Katie & Tyler’s wedding day in the mountains of North Carolina. What’s crazy about it, is that it was 15 miles from where my parents have property and I spent A LOT of time being “bored” at as I was growing up!!! When Katie told me the location I think I shocked her when I said I knew where it was. Y’all Katie & Tyler’s wedding was like being invited to a family reunion with the special quests getting married. These two were literally surrounded by family the entire day and it was sooo soo special to be part of. Family is important and so even every detail of their wedding had family hands all over it. From the wedding taking place on Katie’s Aunts Dairy Farm, to family doing each others hair & makeup, to parts of Katie’s mom & grandmother’s dresses being sewn into Katie’s dress. I can’t thank the two of them enough for asking me to document their wedding day!! I will say… it was HOT and thunderstorms were looming all afternoon!!!!! But y’all the rain held off until dinner & it cooled down just in time for me to take Katie & Tyler out for a few sunset portraits!! Katie & Tyler, you two are something special and I am soo crazy excited to see how God uses you two as a couple. I could go on and on about them and their wedding (and I’m going to as you scroll through the images), but for now I’ll let you see their day and smile because I don’t know how Katie’s smile isn’t contagious once you see it!!

So Tyler is an artist and one of his favorite artists is Norman Rockwell. So since Tyler has a thing for fun socks Katie surprised him with Norman Rockwell socks!!

And then sister/brother first looks as well!!!! These three guys ADORE their older sister!!!!
Katie had written to her future husband since she was in high school. And on their wedding day she gave Tyler the journal and the latest entry she wrote the night before!!!
Ohhh and I definitely adore bride & groom first looks!!!!!!!!
Katie & Tyler were literally surrounded by family and that included their bridal party!!!! Loved the bridesmen & groomsmaid 🙂
You two just make me smile!!!!
Katie was all about the details and I loved it!!!
If you don’t see me stay in the ceremony area as all the bridal party is released it’s because one of my favorite parts of a wedding day is to capture the intimate first moments of the bride & groom as husband and wife!!!

I can now say that I have pranced around a cow pasture with a bride & groom for portraits!!! 🙂 I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!!
