Marla’s Bridal Portraits at Taylors Mill | Greenville Wedding Photographer

Kendra Martin Photography | Taylor's Mill Bridal Portraits

When Marla told me she wanted to do her bridal portrait session at Taylor’s Mill I was so excited because I had never shot inside the mill before.  Granted by the time we did her session I had photographed 3 other bridal portraits at Southern Bleachery which is a venue at Taylor’s Mill but I had never taken photos where we were going to do Marla’s session.  Y’all the light upstairs in the mill is to die for!!! We were there early evening and I have a feeling there probably isn’t a bad time of day lighting wise up there!!  I think someone needs to clean it up and turn it into a wedding venue… just be sure to leave all the windows because gosh that’s what really makes that space!! Anyways 🙂 Marla’s bridal portrait day happened at the end of March and there was rain in the forecast!!  It actually rained on and off all day.  Thankfully we were planning on doing most of the session indoors and a few outside (the rain stopped that) but we were on a role upstairs that it didn’t matter that it was raining or that we didn’t make it outside!!  I have been itching to share these bridal portraits for over a month and now I can because Marla got married on Saturday!!!  Y’all I can’t wait to share the wedding photos but for now I’m going to share a few of my favorite images from her bridal portrait session!!!

Photography is in my blood and seeking truth is in my soul. Which is a deep way of saying, I’ve loved to take photos for a really long time, y’all. I’d love to share my story with you then listen to yours.

I photographed a wedding at a private estate two years ago where hair and makeup ran behind. We went from having an hour and a half for all of the portraits to having thirty minutes, and that thirty minutes still had to cover the bride and groom, the wedding party, and both families. While we […]

Palm Springs, California is one of those places you visit and you’ll never forget!! I loved my time there and really enjoyed my time with Sasha & Chloe for their session amongst the windmills!! We had so much fun and I’m so excited to share a handful of my favorite images from my session with […]

I was standing on a porch in Highlands last fall, watching the fog roll down over the mountains while a bride got her veil pinned in by her mom. Nobody was rushing. There was coffee going cold on a side table and somebody’s grandfather telling a story in the next room. And I remember thinking: […]
