Becca & Colin | Greenville Wedding Photographers

I met Becca when I was in the tenth grade!! I was new at that particular high school and even though she was a year younger than me we clicked and became fast & dear friends (Becca, thanks for wanting to be my friend 🙂 :))!!  Fast forward to the summer before my senior year and my family moved to Charlotte & she moved back to Georgia.  I’m going to date myself, but there was NO such thing as facebook, or instagram, or really anything other than instant messenger and our cell phones to keep in touch… and with cell phones we probably only got to use when it was after 9 and it was free (yes young ones that might be reading this… unlimited calling was not something of the past… if you used too many daytime minutes… well I would get in trouble!!) Long story short, Becca & I lost touch.  But then facebook happened when we were in college and we were able to somewhat reconnect… well fast forward to spring of 2015 and after almost 13 years of not having seen one another we met halfway between Spartanburg & Agusta and caught up!!!! I soo wish we hadn’t lost all those years, but what I am thankful for… is that we have reconnected and I am soo thankful God placed this amazing woman in my life when I was 15 years old!!  She is a woman that puts everyone else before herself.  She loves to no end and most importantly she loves & shares Christ unashamedly and I look up to her in so many way!! She is truly an inspiration!!  In the fall of 2015 I sat on her couch before heading out to document one of her best friends weddings that afternoon and we poured our hearts and lives out to one another and bathed our friendship and lives in prayer that morning.  I remember looking up and being like “BECCA as much as I wish we could do this all day… we can’t!! There’s a wedding that needs photographing and if we don’t get ready NOW we are going to be late!!!” I still remember that one of the things we prayed about and for that day was for the man that God had created for Becca. Well this past Thanksgiving week as I’m sitting on the couch I received a text that made my heart soo soo happy.  I can’t remember the exact wording but I know Becca told me she thought she had met the person she’d marry one day.  Sure enough she had!!!  Earlier this month I received a call to tell me that Colin had asked her to be his wife!!!!  I had yet to meet Colin, but I knew the first time Becca told me about him that he was special and that he was the one that God had patiently 😉 had Becca wait for.

Becca & Colin asked me I think the week after they were engaged if I’d be willing to document their wedding!!  Becca said she couldn’t imagine anyone else standing with her and spending so much time with her on that day… and so of course I said YES!!!! 🙂 🙂 I’m crazy excited to document the beginning of their marriage on their wedding day!!  They came up a few Saturday’s ago to say hello & take their engagement photos!! Y’ALL!!!! I had never met Colin before but this man was made for this woman, and vice versa!!! The way they love one another is incredible!!! They are soo much fun to watch and be around!! They are two people so in love & so excited to get married and start their lives together…. and more importantly follow God wherever He leads them!!
