I danced for almost all of my childhood and then walked away in middle school to pursue sports… but even though I walked away from dance it didn’t make my love for it (and especially ballet) any less. I loved it! I loved the classes, the competitions, the recitals, the auditions… I loved everything about it and I remember wanting soo badly to be a dance teacher “when I grew up”. Well as you know I’m not a dance teacher but I still love it and am hopeful that my little starts to like dance a little more than she does. Don’t get me wrong she will put on her dance clothes and shoes and dance all day every day around the house… but the second we show up to class she freezes and wants basically nothing to do with it. So we shall see!! In the meantime I’ll just take photos of other dancers to get my dancing fix… and especially my ballet fix!!!
Dylan & Kensley met up with me a few weeks ago to take some ballet photos!! We met in downtown Spartanburg and what started off as a misty afternoon turned out to be lots and lots of fun… even if we did get a little wet!! These two sisters dance for Spartanburg ballet and it was such a joy to have them in front of my camera!! I wish we had been able to make it to watch them this past weekend at the nutcracker… hopefully next year!!! Dylan, Kensley & Lisa!! Thank y’all so much for a fun afternoon & for wanting to hop in front of my camera for this session. I loved getting to document y’all do something that I still love and appreciate very very much!!!
