Greenville Photographer | Emily | Headshots

I know for a fact that I could write a book on how dear and near this lady is… but today I am choosing to keep it short and sweet!!! If you’re interested in hearing about Emily & my friendship be sure to check out this blog I posted a few years back.  I will say though that I am so very grateful and blessed by this woman and her friendship and I love that we live a little over an hour from each other now!!!  Love her soo soo much and I love doing life with her!!!

Emily contacted me back in the summer and asked if I’d be up for doing a headshot session for her and her roommate B.  Well yes, of course I would be up for it!!!  We scheduled the session for the end of September and that was that and I was so excited.  I was excited to do the session/hang out with one of my best friends/meet B (even though it feels like I’ve known her… more on that next week when I blog her headshots!!)… so yes, I was excited to say the least!!!

As the session date approached I kept a lookout on the weather because we had been having some pretty awful weather… I was scheduled to have another session the same weekend and ended up having to reschedule and wasn’t sure if this session was even going to happen.  I asked Emily what she wanted to do… her answer was “I’m coming rain or shine”.  That was that and it meant I better have a few covered locations in my back pocket it if did end up raining.  Sure enough it rained the ENTIRE session!!!! I think it rained for probably 14 days straight actually… but because of the rain I was able to find some pretty amazing covered locations in the Spartanburg area that I can now use either rain or shine and that makes for one really happy photographer!!

Emily was such a trooper and totally didn’t let the rain get to her… I would have freaked out if I was her because she had had her hair & makeup done and me being me would have been like AHHH I can’t believe this is happening… but not Emily!!  That’s the way she is.  She takes it as it comes and she makes the best of it… and I admire that about her soo soo much!!!!

I grew up in a house full of photos. My dad or I when I was old enough, was always behind a camera…family dinners, road trips, Sunday afternoons that probably didn’t seem worth documenting but somehow always were. That’s where I fell in love with this work. And somewhere along the way, I also learned […]

Meredith and J.G. invited their family and friends to the Piermont Cottage, which is part of Old Edwards Inn for brunch and farewells the morning after their wedding day.
The morning was full stories that were filled with laughter and joy!! It was the perfect way to end an amazing weekend. Venue  | The Farm […]

Meredith and John Grady were married on a beautiful, Friday afternoon in July in Highlands, North Carolina. Meredith began her day at the Farm at Old Edwards Inn, surrounded by so many incredible women in her life. The morning was full of joy, love, and an abundance of happy tears. After Meredith slipped into her […]
