I photographed this family and their maternity/family photos back in the fall. It was a session for the books (between the lighting, the fun we had, the images we walked away with, and little mr. C locking himself in their car… read the blog post if that just made you curious on how a 2 year old locks himself in the car) and I waited ever so patiently for Jenn to let me know when little mr. O would be making his apperance!!! Jenn’s orginal due date was January 1st. Then it got moved to like the 27th of December and then to like the 22nd or something like that and all those December dates came and went and I had a wedding show on the horizon and I just had a bad feeling that I wouldn’t get to be there for the birth unless he decided to come after the show but then that would be like January 4th and I never wanted to wish that on Jenn because she was ready in November to meet this little one… Needless to say Jenn let me know he’d be arriving on the 29th and between Kenzie being sick and the wedding show I knew for certain I wasn’t going to be able to make the trip to Charlotte to meet this sweet little one on his BIRTH day. BUT I did get to meet him 12 days later and boy did I soak up every minute with him and his cuteness… Ohh and his sweet mom, dad, and big brother too ;)!!!
Jenn is one of dearest friends and when she told me she wanted me to take little Mr. O’s newborn photos I was so flattered and honored and just soo very excited!!! And y’all this newborn session is one of my favorites I’ve photographed… maybe because this is a family I love so much and means so much to me but because y’all I walked away with some amazing images and I am soo soo in love with them and this little boy!!! Why oh why are we 1.5 hours away?!?! Just take a sneak peek at those blue eye… he’s just yummy 🙂 and as I type this I am wishing I was getting to hold this little one & see his sweet momma again soon!!!!! Because Jenn wasn’t just a client but also a very dear friend (like we’ve been through lots of stuff together since we met my freshman year of college and this lady means soo soo much to me)… it meant that this wasn’t just a session, it was also me visiting and spending time with the 4 of them AND taking photos… well y’all I decided after taking a billion (maybe not that many, but it sure was a lot) photos that when I photograph dear friends newborn photos again or any kind of photos for that matter it will be all business and then spending time with my friends because good gravy I took WAY TOO MANY PHOTOS!!!! Which is no surprise because I tend to be snap happy, but good gravy I was more than snap happy and while it’s awesome for them and they get LOTS & LOTS of images… it means a tad more work on my end 😉 but at the end of the day I wouldn’t trade any of it for the time spent with this sweet family and capturing this little man at this special time in his life!!!!!!
y’all little mr. O is a total sweetie and I LOVED LOVED LOVED getting to photograph him!! I LOVE that he was wide awake for the majority of his session and that he just wouldn’t take his pretty blue eyes off me!!!! Love this little guy so much!!!!!!!!!!!!
OHHH I love his wrinkles!!!! As Kenzie would say I love his wrinkles “SOOOOOO MUCH”!!!!
Love detail photos, that hair and his wrinkles!!!
This might just be one of my favorite photos EVER!!! Y’all he smiled like this for a solid few minutes!!!!
Meet cupcake!!!!
He did sleep for a little while ;)!!
Yep, little mr. O… I’m smitten!!!
Sooo glad we were able to get a few photos with mr. C in them!! He wasn’t really wanting anything to do with photos, but every time I placed Jenn & Ben where I’d want them he’d hop on the bed and want in the photos also (which was awesome because I was a little nervous he was going to just flat out boycott photos)!! He is a cutie and so much fun to be around… so excited to see him & Kenzie grow up together!!
I LOVE this photo of Jenn & Ben and little mr. O!!!
So blessed by this sweet family!!!
Jenn, you are beautiful!! I love seeing you be a mom!!!!!
As you can tell by this post… I am a HUGE lover of black & white images!! There’s something about a black & white image that’s just timeless and classic & I just love them!!!!
Ben is one in love daddy with sweet little O!!!!
