I’m just going to start this post off by saying I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED for Stephanie & Jason.  They have a little one on the way in March!!!!!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂  When Stephanie found out she was pregnant over the summer she immediately contacted me to see if when I was back in Texas for a wedding in August if they could book a session of just the two of them but also make part of the session about their upcoming addition.  Of course I was delighted to have them in front of my camera & get the chance to spend time with them.  You may recognize them from this session that we did last fall shortly after their wedding.  These two are dear dear dear friends of Gary & I and we miss them sooo incredibly much.  I hate that it took us so long to meet since we lived right across the street from each other, but I am thankful for the time we had with them and the fact that these two are friends for the long haul for us!!!! Love these two so much & can’t wait for baby girl & all her bows to join this sweet family next year!!!!!

At the time we took the photos they didn’t know the sex of the baby but since found out and had a gender reveal a few weekends ago so I didn’t give anything way when I said baby girl!!!  Jason, Gary & I are sooooo excited for you to have a little girl that wraps you around her finger :)!!!  Just bug Gary with any girl questions… I know we are totally bias but you are going to LOVE being a daddy to a little girl!!!  I was excited when I found out y’all were pregnant but even more so when Stephanie told me the baby was a girl!!!  Y’all I really can’t contain my excitement… I am sitting here grinning ear to ear!!!!!!

Y’alls friendship is something I know Gary & I both treasure so much and the fact that y’all lived across the street made it the icing on the cake.  I remember when Stephanie & I first started to spend time together and how I loved being able to “meet her out front” for a walk 🙂 & then over time we all started hanging out and then it became a weekly thing for Stephanie & I to have our girls night in :)… okay let me stop thinking about it or I’ll make myself cry!!!  I am really thankful for y’all & your friendship and just so blessed that God placed us in each others lives and right across the street from one another!!!  Thank y’all for wanting me to capture this special time in your lives!!! Love you guys & super excited to meet this little girl!!!

Photography is in my blood and seeking truth is in my soul. Which is a deep way of saying, I’ve loved to take photos for a really long time, y’all. I’d love to share my story with you then listen to yours.

I was standing on a porch in Highlands last fall, watching the fog roll down over the mountains while a bride got her veil pinned in by her mom. Nobody was rushing. There was coffee going cold on a side table and somebody’s grandfather telling a story in the next room. And I remember thinking: […]

Some of my favorite photographs from a wedding weekend are taken with everyone in khakis. I’ve been thinking about that lately. After almost twenty years of photographing weddings, I’ve learned that the moments my couples come back to years later are not always the ones you would expect.  The first look matters. The vows matter. […]

Rachel & Ben were married on an incredible fall weekend in the upstate of South Carolina.  The weekend started out with family and friends celebrating these two at the Greenville Country Club for the rehearsal dinner.  The included hugs, the most beautiful toasts, and Ben grabbing his guitar and playing/singing for guests.  That evening set […]
