Jason & Stephanie | Greenville, SC Wedding Photographer

Houston, TX Wedding Photographer - Kendra Martin Photography

Jason & Stephanie live across the street a few doors down from Gary and I.  I remember when they first moved in thinking “ohh we should go introduce ourselves”.. well that never happened.  Thankfully Gary & Jason started to chat when they were outside and finally Stephanie & I met this past spring and I am sooo sooo sooo glad we did (wish I would have met her sooner!!!).  It’s been so much fun getting to know the two of them!! Stephanie and I started walking together this past summer and somehow on one of our walks 🙂 I managed to talk her into getting into her wedding dress after their big day for a “day after” shoot.  I can’t speak for them, but I had SOOO much fun that evening!! Jason is a hoot & I was cracking up by everything he was doing and saying!!  You two were awesome and I loved it and these images!!!!  I can’t wait to get to know you two even more & to have more random pizza nights (or whatever our food of choice might be 🙂 )!!!!

If you saw Friday’s blog you will notice that the flowers from the shoot are the same ones from that blog post.  Jody at The Moss & Rose does an AMAZING job!!!

Photography is in my blood and seeking truth is in my soul. Which is a deep way of saying, I’ve loved to take photos for a really long time, y’all. I’d love to share my story with you then listen to yours.

I was standing on a porch in Highlands last fall, watching the fog roll down over the mountains while a bride got her veil pinned in by her mom. Nobody was rushing. There was coffee going cold on a side table and somebody’s grandfather telling a story in the next room. And I remember thinking: […]

Some of my favorite photographs from a wedding weekend are taken with everyone in khakis. I’ve been thinking about that lately. After almost twenty years of photographing weddings, I’ve learned that the moments my couples come back to years later are not always the ones you would expect.  The first look matters. The vows matter. […]

Rachel & Ben were married on an incredible fall weekend in the upstate of South Carolina.  The weekend started out with family and friends celebrating these two at the Greenville Country Club for the rehearsal dinner.  The included hugs, the most beautiful toasts, and Ben grabbing his guitar and playing/singing for guests.  That evening set […]
