Cara & David engagement session | Greenville Wedding Photographer

Kendra Martin Photography | Greenville Wedding Photographer | Spartanburg Wedding Photographer

Well first & foremost I have to start by wishing my little sister HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!  I love you and am so very proud of you!!!!  I hope today is an amazing day!!!

Cara had decided sometime in early 2012 that she & David would spend Christmas here in Texas… at the time we had an suspicion that David would propose so I knew if he did we’d do their engagement photos while they were in town.  David totally proposed in the fall (and somehow completely caught my sister by surprise)… so we started talking photos!!! 🙂  I was excited that I was going to get to do their photos and finally have a chance to meet my future brother in law (I had met him once at my baby shower last year in NC and it was only very briefly)… so it was going to be nice to spend time with he and my sister and have some fun with my camera.  They arrived in Houston on Friday afternoon and I’m sure they would have rather held off on photos but on Saturday afternoon we went out and did their session.  I love how these came out and I hope they do too!!  Cara, thank you so much for trusting me with the location and being my guinea pig and being up for anything!!  David, thank you for making me laugh so much during a session… y’all need to move to Texas and I’ll hire you to come crack jokes at all my sessions :)!!!  It meant so much to me to be able to take these photos for you guys, it was truly and honor!!  You two are perfect for one another and I’m excited to welcome you into the family David!!  Thank you for loving my little sister the way you do!!!

Cara, I love you very much!! I can’t wait to photograph your special day in just a few short weeks!!!!  🙂 🙂 🙂  Here’s a few photos from their engagement session…

Photography is in my blood and seeking truth is in my soul. Which is a deep way of saying, I’ve loved to take photos for a really long time, y’all. I’d love to share my story with you then listen to yours.

I photographed a wedding at a private estate two years ago where hair and makeup ran behind. We went from having an hour and a half for all of the portraits to having thirty minutes, and that thirty minutes still had to cover the bride and groom, the wedding party, and both families. While we […]

Palm Springs, California is one of those places you visit and you’ll never forget!! I loved my time there and really enjoyed my time with Sasha & Chloe for their session amongst the windmills!! We had so much fun and I’m so excited to share a handful of my favorite images from my session with […]

I was standing on a porch in Highlands last fall, watching the fog roll down over the mountains while a bride got her veil pinned in by her mom. Nobody was rushing. There was coffee going cold on a side table and somebody’s grandfather telling a story in the next room. And I remember thinking: […]
