Gary, So I know I told you on the phone the other night that I was a bad wife and I hadn’t had a chance to get you a card or a present for our anniversary… well that’s still the case, sorry!!… But maybe just maybe this post will count for something!!

5 years ago we said “I Do”.  I didn’t just say it to my fiancé, I said it to my best friend… I said “I do” to you, the man that for some reason or another wanted to “date” me when I was just 14.  I said “I Do” to the man that put up with me for all those years, and in a lot of way grew up with me and watched me grow up!!  I said “I Do” to the most perfect man… for me!!  I look back at the last 5 years and stand in awe of everything that has happened and that we’ve gone through together.  Sure, there’s things I don’t ever want to repeat… but I wouldn’t trade the last 5 years for anything in the whole world.

We moved to Virginia to start our lives together, we bought our first car together, got our first dog, we moved half way across the country to Texas, we bought our first house, we’ve dealt with job changes, started my business, traveled lots of fun places together, and in July welcomed miss Kenzie into our lives.  It has been an amazing 5 years and I can’t wait to see what 5 more and then many more years after that have in store for us.

I love you and am so thankful for you… I don’t know what I did to deserve you as my husband, friend, and now dad of our baby girl, but I know that I have been blessed beyond measure and I thank God every day for you.  Happy Anniversary!!!  <3  I love you!!!

Back in September when my friend Emily was visiting from NC we went out and snapped a few photos… here’s a few that I snapped of Gary & Kenzie…

This photo was my first attempt at using a remote shutter release… LOL… I’m horrible at it!!!  Of course the only photo I really got of all 3 of us has Kenzie crying… 🙂  I still love the fact that I have it though!!!

Out of respect to our little girl and family please do not pin these photos to pinterest or use these photos elsewhere.

Rachel & Ben were married on an incredible fall weekend in the upstate of South Carolina.  The weekend started out with family and friends celebrating these two at the Greenville Country Club for the rehearsal dinner.  The included hugs, the most beautiful toasts, and Ben grabbing his guitar and playing/singing for guests.  That evening set […]

For the last few years I’ve photographed Ballet Spartanburg’s performances of the Nutcracker.  It is an honor to capture these incredible students and professional dancers that share the stage for this family favorite in the heart of Spartanburg, SC.  Most years I capture the dress rehearsals, this past year due to a wedding in Charleston […]

After 18 years and hundreds & hundreds of weddings, I’ve had a front-row seat to some of the most thoughtful, personal, and beautifully designed wedding days across the Southeast. And when couples ask me what I remember most about a wedding, the answer is almost always the details. I think about the invitation suite printed […]
