Corey & Skylar tie the knot… part i… {Texas Wedding Photographer}

Corey & Skylar tied the knot a few weeks ago in Sulphur Springs, TX.  Back in December when Corey first contacted me about photographing her wedding I said to myself “ohh photographing a wedding at 31.5 weeks will be easy”… lol, little did I know how hard it would be… even though it was a hard weekend (the drive from Houston was not small, so between the drive up and back and the wedding day it was a long/hard weekend… I’m sure Gary got tired of hearing about my back, feet, and everything else that decided to cause me pain that weekend 🙂 ) it was such a rewarding and amazing weekend.  I have known Corey’s mom for a little over 3 years and love love love this family to pieces… so to be able to photograph Corey’s wedding day was an honor and I wasn’t going to miss it for anything(even if I was 31.5 weeks pregnant!!!)  It was so much fun to be there with them and to be able to capture this special day in their lives.  I have sooo enjoyed getting to know the two of them and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for their relationship and their family!!  Corey & Skylar, you two are not only amazing as individuals, but you are an amazing couple and I love seeing the two of you love one another.  Thank you so much for letting me capture the love you two have for each other this year!!  Thank you for being up to doing a first look (even though it was raining… I think the umbrella added character and I LOVE the images that I was able to get when y’all see each other for the first time), thank you for embracing me and making me feel like I was part of your family and inner circle.  Thank you, thank you, thank you for wanting me to be the one to follow you around all day on this important day… I loved it!!!

Here are just a few of the photos from the first part of their wedding day… 🙂

Photography is in my blood and seeking truth is in my soul. Which is a deep way of saying, I’ve loved to take photos for a really long time, y’all. I’d love to share my story with you then listen to yours.

I grew up in a house full of photos. My dad or I when I was old enough, was always behind a camera…family dinners, road trips, Sunday afternoons that probably didn’t seem worth documenting but somehow always were. That’s where I fell in love with this work. And somewhere along the way, I also learned […]

Meredith and J.G. invited their family and friends to the Piermont Cottage, which is part of Old Edwards Inn for brunch and farewells the morning after their wedding day.
The morning was full stories that were filled with laughter and joy!! It was the perfect way to end an amazing weekend. Venue  | The Farm […]

Meredith and John Grady were married on a beautiful, Friday afternoon in July in Highlands, North Carolina. Meredith began her day at the Farm at Old Edwards Inn, surrounded by so many incredible women in her life. The morning was full of joy, love, and an abundance of happy tears. After Meredith slipped into her […]
