books & daisy…

Over the past few weeks I’ve acquired, but also a few friends and my mom have given me a whole stack of books to read over the next few weeks/months… which is awesome b/c I LOVE to read!! 🙂  I was actually was doing a little cleaning yesterday and came across the stack and b/c it’s quite a few and they aren’t just wimpy little 200 page books I thought I’d snap a few pictures.  I decided I’d use my beautiful blue chair to sit the books on both b/c I love the chair, but a lot of the books have bright covers.  I was taking the photos in our dinning room and I must of confused Daisy (I never step foot in the room unless I’m returning one of my photography chairs or dusting) b/c she came in and sat right in front of me.  Daisy NEVER sits still long enough to pose for pictures but she did and I couldn’t believe it.  So with my lens wide open I started shooting a few of her.  So that brings me to two of my favorite things… books and Daisy and I just happened to get both in the same place at the same time for a little spontaneous photo shoot…

Photography is in my blood and seeking truth is in my soul. Which is a deep way of saying, I’ve loved to take photos for a really long time, y’all. I’d love to share my story with you then listen to yours.

If you’re planning a wedding weekend in Highlands, North Carolina, spring is one of the most beautiful times to gather your favorite people in the mountains. The waterfalls are full, the wildflowers are blooming, and the golden hour light over these ridgelines is the kind of thing that makes everyone reach for their phone (even […]

(If my dream clients wrote a blog post, it might sound like this. Not a real couple, but a very real reflection of the kind of experience I aim to give.) We weren’t just looking for a photographer. We were looking for someone we could trust—someone who would make our wedding feel like us. That […]
