bluebonnets…

So remember a few weeks ago I was so excited about my bluebonnet shoots that would be coming up?  Well let me started by saying…. I have the worst luck known to man.  Gary and I don’t go out to eat or really go do a lot of things b/c we always get the worst service you could ever imagine (I know that I have a lot of crazy quirks, but even when I’m on my best behavior… service is at it’s worst, and I’m really not just saying that to say that, it’s really really really bad).  On top of always getting bad service, everything that could go wrong goes wrong with everything I do.  It could be a perfectly beautiful, sunny, non-humid day, my hair will be straight and what do you know out of nowhere the bottom falls out of the sky.  Or I could get the most perfect pair of linen trousers ever wear them once… and in a place there shouldn’t be a hole or a hole ever appear there… THERE’S A HOLE!!!  Or I could decide to take the travel voucher on my way to NC to visit my best friend  and when I go to check in with the other flight… IT’S FULL (please someone explain to me why they would have sold another airline a ticket when there was no ticket to sell!!  Or the time arrived in NYC in the dead of winter and b/c the airline decides that instead of gate checking my bag b/c there’s no more room on the plane, they stick it with all the other luggage… so when I get to NYC I have no luggage b/c it’s in Chicago… b/c my original flight was late leaving Houston (where they stashed my ONLY suitcase under the plane – the airline didn’t believe in gate checking luggage!!).. which meant when I checked my phone as soon as I landed in Chicago I had a message saying they booked me on another flight a few hours later into NYC b/c “I was going to miss my connection”… but what they didn’t know was that I was capable of sprinting from one terminal to another and barely made my flight (so really, “I didn’t miss my connection”)… but that meant that I HAD NO LUGGAGE IN NYC!!

I could go on and on about the stuff that happens to me that never really happens to normal human beings…  So I wasn’t surprised at all when last Saturday I drive to my little blue bonnet location that I had found just a few weeks prior and there’s not a single blue bonnet in site.  I thought I was going to die!!  There was no longer my sea of blue, instead there was a sea of some sort of white flower.  So I drive 15 more miles north in hopes of finding a field of blue…  ha, the joke was on me b/c I found blue… but it was on private property!!!  ohh it was awful.  So I called my clients and they were all like we’ll still meet you up there and shoot it’ll be fun!!  So I headed back down to my perfect location, minus the blue bonnets and had some amazing sessions!!  I do want to apologize to all of you for my bad luck/misfortune.  Thank you so much for being so flexible and awesome!!  And like I told all of them, NEXT YEAR I’m not going to have this happen to me again (finger’s crossed)… I’ve already blocked the first weekend of April off for bluebonnet pictures!!!!!

Check back over the next couple days as I start to post my sessions…
