I was so excited when Asma contacted me to take pictures at her engagement ceremony. I had never been to a Pakistani engagement ceremony so I had no idea what to expect or what would go on, luckily Asma told me everything that would happen that night. Asma’s family and friends were so awesome and I had such a good time. I loved all the beautiful colors and the traditions of the engagement ceremony. Saad and Asma thank you so much for letting me spend time with you and closest friends and family!!
It’s funny to think about it now, but I wish I would have taken Asma’s mom up on eating their delicious food AT their house that night. Asma lives about 25 miles from where I live, so it wasn’t like a quick ride home… I was literally 2 miles from my house just driving down the highway, was passing through an intersection when someone ran their red light and nailed me in the back of my car!!! I couldn’t believe it, luckily I was okay… I just remember sitting there for an instant and thinking, if only I would have stayed a little longer!! Ohh well.. I’m sure over the coming years I’ll have lots of crazy things that happen to me to and from and at weddings and I’ll be sure to share them with you.
Back to what’s important (the pictures)… here’s a few from that night.
