Jenn’s Bridal Session @ The Graystone Inn, Wilmington, NC {Wilmington, NC, Photographer}

It wont be very often that I’ll have the opportunity to take a dear friends bridal portraits, but back in July I got to do just that.  Jenn had asked me back when Ben and herself first got engaged if I’d be willing to fly back and shoot her bridal portraits (and of course I said yes).  As the time got closer to our session we batted back and forth location ideas… I think we both would have loved to do the session outdoors, but considering it was July and ridiculously hot we opted for a session at The Graystone Inn, which is located in downtown Wilmington.  I don’t think we could have picked a better location, it was perfect for Jenn’s dress and the mood she was going for with her bridal portraits.  She was absolutely stunning in her dress.  Since this blog is up, it means that Jenn and Ben tied the knot on Saturday and I am sooo happy for the two of them and I hope y’all are having a blast in Mexico.  I hope you enjoy her bridal portraits…  Check back in a few weeks b/c I’ll have photos up that I snapped at the wedding…

Photography is in my blood and seeking truth is in my soul. Which is a deep way of saying, I’ve loved to take photos for a really long time, y’all. I’d love to share my story with you then listen to yours.

When someone says “we’re really drawn to candid wedding photos,” I know exactly what they mean, but I also know it means something different to every couple. And honestly? That’s part of what I love about it. Because candid doesn’t mean chaotic, and it definitely doesn’t mean careless.  Candid means intentional presence. It means pausing […]

I took a trip to Knoxville, TN to document Sarah & Andy’s engagement session.  They wanted to do their session where they will be getting married in 2026 and it was the best decision ever!  Not only did I get to meet and hang out with Sarah & Andy, but I also was able to […]
