Kendall & Brandon | Intimate Greenville Wedding - Kendra Martin Photography

Kendall & Brandon’s wedding day is a wedding day unlike any I’ve ever photographed! I might screw up the details here but going to give this a go!! Technically, their day was a double surprise. Their guests thought they were surprising Kendall & Brandon with a surprise engagement session, but in reality Kendall & Brandon were surprising their guests with the fact that they had just gotten married, and had planned the entire celebration (including the “surprise engagement party”!

I started my time with Kendall & Brandon at their home which is where they were getting ready and ended up getting married as well!! Kendall & Brandon were back and forth with where they were going to do their ceremony. They were between a garden in downtown Greenville or at their home. The week of their wedding, they chose their home (and y’all IT WAS PERFECT!!!)! When I arrived at their house, it was just the two of them, and their sweet little dog. The two were enjoying their Saturday afternoon together, and celebrating with champagne, while finishing getting ready. Prior to their vows we started with a few photos of the two of them and their sweet pup and had a lot of fun!!

When I arrived at their home, we weren’t sure where in the home or around the home that the ceremony would take place. They have a room directly off the kitchen that is filled with beautiful light and gorgeous plants, and when I walked in, it just felt right. So that’s where they chose to do it! Kendall & Brandon had one of the sweetest ceremonies that I’ve ever photographed in my 15.5 years of business. Their vows were sweet and intimate, and tears were shed by all (granted there were only four of us in the room.. but we all cried)! Kendall & Brandon love each other like crazy and it was so apparent in what they vowed to one another.

Following their sweet ceremony, Kendall & Brandon enjoyed a fun toast with Crystal and Ilya, before Kendall changed into another fun pink dress (side note… can more brides get married in super fun dresses… PLEASE!!!), before we headed downtown to surprise their guests. Before arriving at the restaurant, Kendall, Brandon, and I made a pit stop for some portraits around downtown.

Before I get to the surprises… can we take a moment for these INCREDIBLE florals?!?!?! And also that these guests had ZERO idea that Kendall & Brandon were about to surprise them!!

When we had the go ahead that everyone was there, we walked through the gates at Trattoria Giorgio where everyone, including Kendall & Brandon, yelled SURPRISE! The guests thought they were surprising Kendall & Brandon, but in reality Kendall & Brandon planned this celebration to share that they had just gotten married.Hugs and happy tears were shared before everyone sat down for an amazing dinner celebration.

Brandon & Kendall strategically mixed up where everyone was seated, so that everyone got to know each other. Most didn’t know the person they were sitting alongside of, and honestly I wouldn’t have known that had they not told me what they did!! The evening was full of laughter, and toasts, and stories, as well as delicious food! It was a joy to document Kendall & Brandon’s afternoon!!
