2021: Grateful | Spartanburg Photographer | Greenville Photographer

Y’all!!! How is it already the end of 2021?! While this year flew by, I took some time to really reflect on some of the best things that happened for Kendra Martin Photography

I LOVE what I do. It’s a true honor to get to work with so many wonderful people.

I am so thankful for every couple and every family I’ve had the joy of photographing this year.

I am grateful for all of the couples and their vendors that I’ve had the pleasure of working with for the past 2-3 years as we all navigated rescheduled and postponed weddings from 2020 and 2021.

And I’m so honored that some of my clients love and trust me so much that they have recommended me to their loved ones. And then every single person embraces me like I’m a part of their family. #CueAlltheEmotionalTears

With a whirlwind of a year, I thought it would be fun to recap some of 2021 with all of you.

By the Numbers

In 2021, I photographed:

  • 30 weddings (of all shapes and sizes)
  • 3 Rehearsal Dinners
  • 14 Engagement Sessions
  • 3 Proposals
  • 13 Senior Sessions
  • 4 Maternity Sessions
  • 44 Family Sessions
  • 5 “Just Because”/Headshot Sessions
  • 5 Bridal Sessions
  • 5 Lifestyle Newborn Sessions
  • 3 Event Details
  • 1 Styled Shoot

By Location

In 2021, I was able to travel to so many beautiful, cool places in both North and South Carolina.

In South Carolina, I photographed in:

  • Greenville
  • Spartanburg
  • Columbia
  • Clemson
  • Beaufort
  • Harbor Island
  • Anderson
  • Lake Keowee
  • Fort Mill

In North Carolina, I visited and photographed in:

  • Hendersonville
  • Flat Rock
  • Clyde
  • Asheville
  • Raleigh
  • Maiden
  • Charlotte
  • Lake Lure
  • Zirconia
  • Weaverville

I’ve said it before—and I will say it again—but I am deeply grateful I get to do what I do. To be able to capture some of the most touching, memorable moments for people is a gift I never want to take for granted. To be able to continue on as a family photographer for couples who hired me to shoot their wedding is incredibly touching.

This whole “gig” is, and always will be, something I am humbled to be able to do. Thank you for trusting me with your legacy of photos!

Photography is in my blood and seeking truth is in my soul. Which is a deep way of saying, I’ve loved to take photos for a really long time, y’all. I’d love to share my story with you then listen to yours.

Rachel & Ben were married on an incredible fall weekend in the upstate of South Carolina.  The weekend started out with family and friends celebrating these two at the Greenville Country Club for the rehearsal dinner.  The included hugs, the most beautiful toasts, and Ben grabbing his guitar and playing/singing for guests.  That evening set […]

For the last few years I’ve photographed Ballet Spartanburg’s performances of the Nutcracker.  It is an honor to capture these incredible students and professional dancers that share the stage for this family favorite in the heart of Spartanburg, SC.  Most years I capture the dress rehearsals, this past year due to a wedding in Charleston […]

After 18 years and hundreds & hundreds of weddings, I’ve had a front-row seat to some of the most thoughtful, personal, and beautifully designed wedding days across the Southeast. And when couples ask me what I remember most about a wedding, the answer is almost always the details. I think about the invitation suite printed […]
