Hotel Domestique Wedding | Chelsea & Drew

Chelsea & Drew were married at Hotel Domestique and their wedding day was near perfect. From beautiful Carolina blue skies, to the most beautiful blooms, to the set list the band played all evening.. it was an amazing day.

The day began with both Chelsea & Drew getting ready with a few friends and family members there at the hotel. Chelsea & Drew chose to have a first look so that they could spend as much time as they could after the ceremony with their guests.

All the moments from first look, to intimate off to the side hand holds, to their vows to one another, to their toasts to those there to celebrate them, to everyone dining and dancing under the stars was incredibly sweet and thoughtful. Everything about their day was well thought through and done with intention and it was an honor to be there to document the day for Chelsea & Drew.

Chelsea & Drew, thank you so much for wanting me to document your wedding day.  Loved my time with you two, your families and friends So much!!

A huge shout-out to all the vendors that made Chelsea & Drew’s wedding day a reality!

I was standing on a porch in Highlands last fall, watching the fog roll down over the mountains while a bride got her veil pinned in by her mom. Nobody was rushing. There was coffee going cold on a side table and somebody’s grandfather telling a story in the next room. And I remember thinking: […]

Some of my favorite photographs from a wedding weekend are taken with everyone in khakis. I’ve been thinking about that lately. After almost twenty years of photographing weddings, I’ve learned that the moments my couples come back to years later are not always the ones you would expect.  The first look matters. The vows matter. […]

Rachel & Ben were married on an incredible fall weekend in the upstate of South Carolina.  The weekend started out with family and friends celebrating these two at the Greenville Country Club for the rehearsal dinner.  The included hugs, the most beautiful toasts, and Ben grabbing his guitar and playing/singing for guests.  That evening set […]
