Elli & Wes Old Stone Church Wedding | Greenville Wedding Photographer

When people think of their wedding day the LAST thing most want is RAIN.  I kept watching the weather and hoping that maybe just maybe it wouldn’t rain on this day… but it rained… and it didn’t just rain… IT POURED FOR DAYS!!!!!!!!!!  Thankfully though if it was going to rain on anyone’s wedding day Elli & Wes’ was the day for it to rain because for these two there was nothing a little rain could do to stop them from getting married & then celebrating with their family & friends on Elli’s grandmother’s property!!!  Elli & Wes were sooo chill about it!!

I was probably more worried about it than they were!!!  When I pulled Elli’s dress out to photograph it I think I cried tears because I knew that by the end of the night no matter how careful we were her BEAUTIFUL dress was going to have some mud on it and that killed me!!!  And thankfully we kept it clean all the way up until the reception… but we’ll get to the reception in a minute!!  Y’all Elli & Wes were so stinking sweet!!  They both decided to have their siblings as their wedding party and it was such a joy to be in the room with those that have know these two the longest.. they had a few friends with them as well but to see them be dotted on by their siblings and parents made my heart so happy.

As I walked into the Old Stone Church most of their family & friends had already arrived and despite the weather the greetings and joy that they all had for one another is something I will never forget.  There was a peace in that church prior to the ceremony that I don’t know if I’ve felt before and I will say that I’m pretty sure that peace has a lot to do with Elli & Wes and their love for one another and then those that love and support them!!  Wes was all smiles as he waited for the back doors to open to see his bride and then he continued to smile the entire ceremony!!! Elli smiled and cried tears of joy and I LOVE that Wes reached over a few times to help her dry her tears!!!  Y’all I LOVED getting to document this wedding day!!  I love how LOVED these two are!!  I love how this wedding went from a small family ceremony when they first contacted me to probably tripling in size because they wanted their support system their as well!!  I love that these two put on rain boots along with the majority of their guests and danced the night away!!!

Elli & Wes, you two are so special and it was such an honor to document your beautiful day!!!!  Yes it rained but gosh it was soo beautiful and I am soo excited for y’all and what your future has in store for you two now as husband & wife!!!  Thank y’all so much for wanting me to document this special day for y’all!!  Here are a “few” of my favorite images from the day… and y’all this was sooo hard to pick because I had SOOOOO many favorites!!!!
