John stood on one side of the heavy door waiting for Chrissy to walk up, it was chilly but the right amount for a southern December afternoon.  They weren’t going to do a first look but their pastor was going to pray over them and their marriage and I was so excited to document it all.  As soon as Chrissy walked up to the other side of the door and grabbed John’s hand the tears started (and their pastor kept saying “this is just so beautiful, so beautiful, I’ve never seen anything like it!!!!) and y’all this sweet moment was one of the most beautiful moments I’ve had the opportunity to document.  Their pastor prayed over them and for them and with them and I had to hold back the tears because here were two people that have longed for marriage and here they were about to become husband & wife.  I wish I could remember everything their pastor prayed but y’all to look back at their images and see their happy tears I remember how special that moment was for them. As Chrissy & John held hands and were prayed over, their families were in the background and it’s an image I won’t ever forget because this was a moment they had all been praying for, for Chrissy & John!!

Chrissy & John are two of the kindest people you will ever meet!!  I first met them last summer in Starbucks and then was able to spend an evening with them for their engagement session and y’all these two make me smile when I think about them.  The way John is soft spoken (and I have a feeling his family may tell me otherwise :), but when you make him laugh… he laughs and smiles and then you laugh and smile because his laughter and smiles are contagious!!!  John is all about the details and I LOVE IT!! From the way he proposed to Chrissy with a special bottle of wine and a ring box made so she wouldn’t suspect anything, to wanting to pick out his suit for the wedding day, to right down to the cuff links he bought for the day (but then had to switch out of because Chrissy gave him new ones!!)… he is a man of detail and I love it!!  Chrissy is a kindred spirit and I am soo soo thankful that I can call her a friend!! She is a planner and has a style that is classic and good gravy I love me some classic and timeless anything!! Chrissy is sooo soo kind and puts others before herself, I heard her over and over again asking everyone else if they needed anything.  Chrissy radiates this warmth of joy and happiness and I LOVE when I get to be around her!!!  When you put Chrissy & John side by side they are the perfect match and I am soo glad that God placed them in each others paths!! I love seeing the way they make each other light up.  I love that they love Jesus and that in the way they treat others and serve others they share who Jesus is!!!

Chrissy & John, thank y’all soo much for wanting me to capture your wedding day, it was beautiful!! I have ADORED getting to know y’all & document y’alls love story!!!  I am soo soo excited for y’all and your marriage and I can not wait to see what God does through y’alls marriage!!!!  Here are a few of my favorite images from your wedding day!!!
