Spartanburg Wedding Photographer | Andrea & Ned

I have been excited since January about Andrea & Ned’s October wedding!!  When I first met Andrea she mentioned that they would be having their wedding in the backyard of the house where she grew up and were thinking that the ceremony would be right at sunset.  And y’all I am all about sunset and intimate weddings!!!  Fast forward to their engagement session and it made me even more excited because Ned & Andrea are so stinking fun!!!  Well October 13th arrived and it was an amazing day for Andrea & Ned to get married.  Somewhere between meeting them and the wedding day 🙂 the ceremony time was pushed a tad later, which meant a NIGHT wedding… which meant I was super excited because night weddings in the dark aren’t something you see very often… and so I was excited to both experience & document it!!  And y’all it was so BEAUTIFUL when the sun dropped completely and the crisp fall air (because it did feel like fall on that particular evening) arrived!!!  Ned & Andrea wanted nothing more than to be surrounded by their family & friends and wanted to celebrate!!  The afternoon started with Andrea & Ned doing a first look (and if you haven’t seen their engagement photos let me just say… you never know what Ned is going to say or do 🙂 ) but I love how much he loves Andrea & the way he looks at her, even when he is being silly!!!!  After the first look we did all the portraits followed by a dinner with all of their guests.  And yes Andrea wore two dresses!!! One for the dinner and then one for the ceremony… which followed the sunset dinner (I have never had dinner before a ceremony and I must say I kind of loved it)!!  Andrea & Ned’s ceremony was so sweet and I loved the words their officiant used & I loved even more that they signed their marriage license (or attempted to… it was way too dark to see) during the ceremony!!  I love that the two had a few jokes during the ceremony as well!!  Following the ceremony it was time for cake followed by fellowship between those that were there and then these two were off to spend the weekend in Asheville!!!  Andrea & Ned, thank y’all for wanting me to document your wedding day!!  I have LOVED getting to know you two and laugh & smile pretty hard while around y’all!!!  Here are just a few of my favorite images from the wedding!!!!

I was standing on a porch in Highlands last fall, watching the fog roll down over the mountains while a bride got her veil pinned in by her mom. Nobody was rushing. There was coffee going cold on a side table and somebody’s grandfather telling a story in the next room. And I remember thinking: […]

Anna & Ramsey reached out a few months prior to their wedding day to see if I was available for their intimate wedding day in Highlands, NC at Old Edwards Inn. I was over the moon that I was available and that it would be the wedding that my 2025 wedding season ended with. The […]
