I always love photographing the ceremony but I have an equal love for portrait and reception time!!! Portrait time because I get to photograph the bride & groom with some of the dearest people in the lives and one another. Reception… well because I’m a people watcher and love to just sit back and watch people (and usually at a reception it’s even more fun b/c they are having fun 🙂 🙂 ). If you missed part I of Sandra & Jarrod’s wedding day you can take a look by clicking here… There wedding just had way too many photos that I wanted to share for me to just have one blog post so this is part II!!! I started the formal portraits inside the church and very quickly decided that since it was nice out we were heading outdoors and I am SOOOOOO glad we did because I would much rather shoot in natural light!!! It was a cloudy day so I really was able to shoot wherever I wanted. We did most of the photos right outside the front of the church (this church and it’s rock work are BEAUTIFUL and I thought they would be a great backdrop for these photos!!!).
After a few photos with entire bridal party we snapped a few of the guys…. Let me start off by saying I have a certain way I line the bridal party up and in this instance after they were lined up I realized that I’d totally placed them in height order!! (OOPPS!!!! It was totally not intentional but they all got a laugh out of it… they probably just thought I was crazy… but these five guys were a lot of fun!!)
Then we took a few with the ladies!!! I LOVED the navy dresses and red flowers!!
Had to get a photo of the ladies with their boots!!!!
Then to probably my favorite time of the day… Photos with JUST Sandra & Jarrod!!! I always love photographing the bride on her wedding day!! Sandra was so beautiful and I love that we were able to get her a few bridals!!!!
Jarrod… well these two photos are TOTALLY him… smiley but then also his “serious”/don’t make me crack a smile face!!! 🙂 🙂 I love getting a few of just the groom as well!!
Then of course the two of them together. Sandra & Jarrod made sure we had time to get more than just a few photos of the two of them on their wedding day (which if you’re a bride I would 100% suggest giving me or whoever your photographer is at least 20-30 minutes of picture time with just you and your groom… yeah the other shots with family and the bridal party are important… but this day is really about the two of you, the two of you becoming man and wife, the two of you starting this new chapter… so make time to have just the two of you and your love documented on your wedding day!!!)… back to what I was saying :)… they gave me a good chunk of time to take photos and I’m soo soo soo soo glad they did because we were able to get some great photos that hopefully will go all over their house ;)!!!!
I love the way they make each other smile!!!!
You two make me smile!!!!!!! 🙂 🙂 Sandra & Jarrod, thank y’all!! Thank y’all for wanting me to document your wedding day & your love for one another. Thank y’all for welcoming me with open arms and letting me be part of your story. I have loved getting to know the two of you over the last year, I have loved hearing your love story and how y’all met and how you proposed and how much you two love one another. It has been such an honor to meet y’all and get to know you!!! Thank y’all for letting me into your lives!!!! I’m soo looking forward to keeping up with y’all and seeing what the future holds for y’all!!! Keep making each other smile and laugh… y’alls laughter & smiles are contagious!!!
How cute is this flower girl as she listened to the speeches!!!
I’d say the Best Man and Matron of Honor had Sandra & Jarrod and the rest of the room laughing :).
Lots of dancing and fun!!!
I’d say it was a good day/night!!!! 🙂 🙂
