Carly’s senior session… {Katy, TX – HS Senior Portrait Photographer}

Somehow I have neglected my blog this week… I think it has something to do with trying to get caught up with all the editing I have right now :)… but I’m back and I can’t wait to show off all the sessions/Wedding I’ve shot over the last few weeks.  It’s been a crazy last  month, but I’ve loved every minute of it!!

A few weekends ago I had the pleasure of photographing Carly.  It was such a windy day (actually it’s been windy all spring) and she was such a trooper!!  She is a doll and I loved spending the afternoon with her and her mom.  As soon as her mom told me that Carly ran track I was smitten :).  She runs longer events than I did, but she still runs track and she plays all sorts of other sports as well.  Carly has an awesome knack for finding really good deals when she’s shopping (Carly, you need to come along with me next time I hit the mall 🙂 ).  Carly is smart, loves her family, friends and loves God.  She is headed to The University of Oklahoma in the fall.  Good luck with everything you do Carly!!  You are a total sweetheart and I am so thankful to have spent an amazing afternoon with you.  Here’s a few photos from her session…

Photography is in my blood and seeking truth is in my soul. Which is a deep way of saying, I’ve loved to take photos for a really long time, y’all. I’d love to share my story with you then listen to yours.

When couples ask me about Charleston wedding season, I always start with the same honest truth: Charleston is gorgeous year-round, but timing makes all the difference for your photos. After photographing dozens of weddings in this beautiful city, I’ve learned which months give you that dreamy, effortless light and which ones require some serious strategy […]

When someone says “we’re really drawn to candid wedding photos,” I know exactly what they mean, but I also know it means something different to every couple. And honestly? That’s part of what I love about it. Because candid doesn’t mean chaotic, and it definitely doesn’t mean careless.  Candid means intentional presence. It means pausing […]

I took a trip to Knoxville, TN to document Sarah & Andy’s engagement session.  They wanted to do their session where they will be getting married in 2026 and it was the best decision ever!  Not only did I get to meet and hang out with Sarah & Andy, but I also was able to […]
