The Fitzgerald’s… {High Point, NC – Family Photographer}

I remember the first day I met the Fitzgerald’s, it was the summer between my 2nd and 3rd grade year and my family had just moved to the area and the Fitzgerald’s came by to welcome us.  Since that day some 17 and a half years ago… this family that I was shy in front of on that hot June day has become my second family.  I spent a lot of weekends/snow days/summer days/anytime over at their house.  Their daughter Melissa and I have been best friends since that summer many moons ago.  Even with multiple moves that my family made to different cities I would still spend weekends with the Fitzgerald’s and go to the beach with them and everything in between.  They have been there to hear about first dates, let me use their house to get ready for proms, waited up on me just like they did with Melissa, hugged me and told me they loved me when I left, their house is even where we stashed my wedding dress and where my bridesmaids and I stayed the night before I got married… When I think of this family I have so many fond memories that include them.  They are my second family and I love all four of them so much.  I don’t think I know how to thank them enough for the influence and the love and support they have given me for 17 + years, but I am very thankful.

When I decided to head to NC I knew from right off the bat where I’d like to  do the sessions… 🙂 The Fitzgerald’s house. So Fitzgerald’s… Thank you for opening your home to me again 🙂 and your land and letting me use it to tromp around with my amazing clients.  Thank you also for being up for getting in front of my camera.  You guys were so much fun and the pictures make me smile!!  Love you all very much!!!

Here’s a few shots from the session (fyi… they love to laugh and be goofy and I just happened to capture that!! 🙂 )

Photography is in my blood and seeking truth is in my soul. Which is a deep way of saying, I’ve loved to take photos for a really long time, y’all. I’d love to share my story with you then listen to yours.

When someone says “we’re really drawn to candid wedding photos,” I know exactly what they mean, but I also know it means something different to every couple. And honestly? That’s part of what I love about it. Because candid doesn’t mean chaotic, and it definitely doesn’t mean careless.  Candid means intentional presence. It means pausing […]

I took a trip to Knoxville, TN to document Sarah & Andy’s engagement session.  They wanted to do their session where they will be getting married in 2026 and it was the best decision ever!  Not only did I get to meet and hang out with Sarah & Andy, but I also was able to […]

Greenville, you’ve been a beautiful backdrop—but lately, I’ve fallen hard for something else: private estate weddings. If you’re dreaming of tying the knot somewhere that’s more your world than a checklist, a family home‑turned‑wedding‑day‑stage is where the real magic happens. Why private estates feel so right Authentic comfort from beginning to end It’s your space. […]
