H family portraits… {Sugar Land, TX, Family Photographer}

As soon as I stepped out of the car Gil stated “who hired her?”… I was wearing a UNC shirt and they are HUGE LSU fans, so I knew from the get-go this was going to be a great session.  Of course I didn’t just leave it at me being a Tarheel fan, me and my big mouth had to go on to say that I’m a huge Gator fan too!!  Thankfully they didn’t hold that against me, they just gave me a hard time :).  Last weekend I met up with this amazing family on a beautiful, HOT & HUMID morning!  Both the boys were troopers and mom and dad were relaxed and awesome in front of the camera.  I had a lot of fun with these four and I can’t wait to see who wins the LSU vs. UNC game in a few weeks…  Libby, thank you so much for letting me capture photos of your beautiful family.  Y’all are awesome and a lot of fun to be around.  Here’s a few (haha, I say few… I couldn’t make up my mind) photos from the session…

Some of my favorite photographs from a wedding weekend are taken with everyone in khakis. I’ve been thinking about that lately. After almost twenty years of photographing weddings, I’ve learned that the moments my couples come back to years later are not always the ones you would expect.  The first look matters. The vows matter. […]

Rachel & Ben were married on an incredible fall weekend in the upstate of South Carolina.  The weekend started out with family and friends celebrating these two at the Greenville Country Club for the rehearsal dinner.  The included hugs, the most beautiful toasts, and Ben grabbing his guitar and playing/singing for guests.  That evening set […]
