surprise bday gift for a dad…

A few weekends ago I got a message from Amanda saying that she wanted to have me do a little session with her two kids (whom are adorable!!), so that she could have a gift for her husband to unwrap on his birthday (that he didn’t actually know about).  So we met for a quick 30 minute session last Monday (thankfully the rain just barely held out long enough for us to get the session done).  I must say her youngest wanted nothing to do with me and my camera 🙂 and her oldest was all smiles.  Amanda was a good sport, b/c even though she wasn’t planning on being in but maybe a few photos, she ended up in the good majority!  Thank you Amanda for being a trooper and jumping in the photos, and I am sooo thankful that the downpour didn’t start till right as we got in our cars to go home.  Here are a few shots from the session…

For the last few years I’ve photographed Ballet Spartanburg’s performances of the Nutcracker.  It is an honor to capture these incredible students and professional dancers that share the stage for this family favorite in the heart of Spartanburg, SC.  Most years I capture the dress rehearsals, this past year due to a wedding in Charleston […]
