I know I’ve said it a few times, but I’m not a fan of getting in front of the camera!! I do it at least twice a year for a few reasons… 1. so I know how you guys feel (from the picking out outfits, to getting ready, to actually being in front of the camera), 2. because I want our memories captured, 3. because I decorate with our family photos!!! But I really would just prefer to be behind the camera & not in front of it 😉 :)!!!!!! We had family photos taken back in October and with the pending arrival of our little girl in March and knowing we were going to do a lifestyle family/newborn session when she arrives we decided against doing another session for maternity photos.
So when I took Kenzie out to snap a few photos of her in her Christmas dress in December I threw on something that would coordinate with her so we could snap a few photos with her & I… and then took a pair of boots and a scarf and handed over the camera to Gary to snap a few of just me so we could at least have a few photos from this pregnancy. I honestly can’t remember how far along I was when I took these photos but I’m thinking it was either 28 or 29 weeks. I’m so glad Gary was willing to take a few photos of Kenzie & I… and then of just me once I set all the settings because I will always treasure these photos!! We talked about going out again and trying to do family photos to get some of Gary & I but that just never worked out and now that I’m in the home stretch I’m definitely not getting back in front of the camera until after Kenlee makes her arrival!!!
Can’t wait to meet our sweet Kenlee!! Until then here are a few of my favorite photos Gary took of Kenzie & I… and then of just me!!
I’ve had a few people ask where Kenzie’s dress is from and I can’t believe I forgot to add that earlier (Pregnancy brain is a real thing!!)… It was made by Belles Of Cotton!! We love their stuff & them!!!!
